Hi all.
I 've been shooting airguns since the early 1970's.
Most all of my shooting back in my youth was with Benjamin and Sheridan multi pumps.

I got into PCPs around 20 years ago with an Air Force Condor and Talon.
I've been shooting more Co2 lately as well I have several WWII replicas.
The Thompson and Luger are the most fun.

My love for springers has not been great, until recently.
I bought a Beeman R7 and realized I've been missing out on quality mild powered springers, now I'm making up for lost time.

I had several big, powerful PCP's like the 250z in .25, and the Alpha Standard w/ bottle, but I sold them.
I kept my modded Notos, it's perfect for the shorter ranges in my backyard.

I'm looking forward to all the good discussion of our hobby.

Welcome to the HAMlet. Do you still have any of your Benji or Sheridan pumpers, or you have left them behind for the temptations of co2 and R7? Looking forward to many HAMsite chats.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.
No, PapaT, I sold my last pumper, a Blue Streak, 4 years ago.
I had just bought a modernized multipump, a Seneca Dragonfly II. The DFII was easier to cock, easier to pump, used the same rotary magazines as my Chaser, was threaded for a moderator and was much, much easier to scope than the Sheridan.

But after 6 months of use, I developed some shoulder trouble. While being much easier to pump, the Dragonfly has a long pump stroke and it bothered me, so I sold it.

The shoulder is better now, but I've come to the realization that only having to do one motion to ready the rifle for the next shot (break barrel) makes more sense than having to do 5, 6 or 8 motions (multipump).
Spend more time shooting and less time pumping, right ?

Love some Arizona. Had a great time in Sedona and Flagstaff. Who knew Flagstaff was one of the Ski Capitals? I lived in Wickenburg for a few years.
Hope you enjoy it here it's a great Forum.

I'm in St Louis these days... ... ...
Never come here 😔
😆

The U shaped chain of peaks just northwest of Flagstaff are called the San Fransisco peaks.
It used to be one big mountain, estimated at 16,000 ft. Half a million years ago, the volcano blew, and most of the rock and lava landed north of the peaks.

I've checked the lava fields out, you can walk for miles across them.
The tallest peak on that crater ridge is called Humprey's Peak, tallest in Arizona at 12,633 ft.

This is another cool place up near the border with Utah, Buckskin Gulch.
It is a slot canyon, barely 2 feet wide in places.
You hike for maybe 1/2 mile through the "slot" then it opens up into a wide area with petroglyphs.
If you look between the bighorn sheep the hunter appears to be holding some sort of weapon.
I can't tell if he has an atlatl or maybe an Hw50s with a big moderator.

You are preaching to the wrong guy on this one. I love to sit and pump, why my Pumper collection has been growing. Of course my blue streak is sighted for 25 yards at 2 pumps, 50 yards at 3 pumps, and most of the time 3-5 pumps is all I do.

I pumped my Benjamin so much as a kid I had arms like Popeye.
I always used a Williams peep.
Friends that put scopes on theirs eventually had the barrel/tube solder separate from holding the gun down by the pistol grip.

My last Blue Streak suffered that fate, it had been repaired before I got it.
Sheridan gave us those snap on hand guards for a reason, but many were removed or lost.
