Hello! Thank you for accepting me into the group. My main interests in the airgun world is pest hunting and plinking. My first experience was with a Daisy 179 bb pistol (looks like a Colt Peacemaker) that my parents found at a yard sale back when I was really young. I started pest hunting as kid when I received my first air rifle, a Crosman 760 Powermaster back in the early 80s. (still have it) I'm 51 and still love airguns. In fact, that's mostly what I shoot these days. No doubt they've come a very long way, and I'm lovin it.

Welcome. Ohio is a hotbed of airgun activity. There are 4 clubs that coordinate through the state for hunter field class. One is in stubenville, another fairfield, another in groveport nad another in the northeast.

In fact nationals are being held the 13th-15th at northeast ohio.

Wow! I did not know all this. Thank you for the info!

Lots of airgun activity in Ohio!

Airgun Shows and Shoots 2023 - Baker Airguns

Wyandot County Airgunners also hosts field target matches, both AAFTA style (sub-20 fpe) & high power (up to 100 fpe). In fact, another HP match scheduled for Sunday 10/15. If you have the time, it's a lot of fun! Can't say for sure, but think you would want a gun with at least 30 fpe (45 would be better) to knock down the thicker targets- if you don't yet have one, you'd be welcome to shoot my Cricket.

If you're not too far from northern Kentucky & looking for a place to get your SCBA or SCUBA tank filled, PM me.

Thank you, I sure appreciate the info and offer!
There are alot of good people in the community. Try out as many as you can. Also determine what you want to do with it then find something that covers it.

The avenge x is looking to be a good entry level rifle that out performs its price point.

Central Ohio airgunners is having their hunter field target match Sunday the 8th. If you can, come out and Chek it out. It's great practice for pesting. I attended a match to watch, was loaned a rifle and was hooked.

Guys, be careful, foreigners (non-Buckeyes) read this forum. We don't want them to know how good we have it!
Foreigner looking in. 😉😯.

Forum chief is English, and at least 2 moderators are English, European.
90 percent of the decent stuff you guys use comes from the European continent, UK included.

You Americans have it so good. 👍.
Enjoy......
