Took out the Pathfinder for 1-1/2 hours today to try the GPO Centuri Compact on starlings. They decided to cooperate and I was willing. The pictured starling was the first kill. I stopped counting after 12. I killed at least 16 plus 2 sparrows. All shots from 25-40 yards. The face of that barn 25-30 yards, became a kill zone for any starling unlucky enough to present. The wire off the pole to the right was 40 yards. The thwack at impact and the thump as they hit the lower roof? Sweet sounds to my ears, the star of the show, my father in laws 50+ year old tripod. Rickety as hell, but it suited for this outing. The starling “circled” at the peak of the roof? It simply collasped at the shot. The wind finally blew it down. The scope is simply sweet, I made kill shots across the magnification range with the IR on and off. With the reticle on 4x and the IR on the kill shots at 25 yards were frankly easy. Am seriously loving my choice of scope.
