Fully detailed information is starting to arrive about the new KalibrGun Cricket 3 PCP air rifle. First announced at the IWA OutdoorClassics show in 2025 (that’s a very early prototype I’m looking at in the photograph below), the Cricket 3 has recently been released in Europe. It should make it to the USA early in 2026.
We need to stress that this is advanced information, based on US-specification prototype testing, but it does give a good idea of the capabilities of this “just out of the works” new model.
KalibrGun explained the development to us as follows:
“The Cricket 3 was originally intended to be a Cricket 2 with a spring-loaded magazine. However, the Snipe model—with its updated air-valve system—brought some important improvements. You proved this with the Hard Air Magazine test review of the KalibrGun Snipe 2, where it earned a HAM Gold Award!”
“We combined the best features of the Cricket and the Snipe. That means the most reliable regulator in the world of pneumatic rifles (everyone knows the Cricket regulator) and the new air valve from the Snipe.”
“The result allows the Cricket 3 to achieve higher power while maintaining the same proven reliability.”
As these “sneak peek” photos show, The Cricket 3 bears some visual similarities to the Cricket 2 Tactical. However, look closer and you see that it’s a distinctly different new design.
The new model will be available, just like the Cricket 2 Tactical, in multiple lengths and calibers from .177 to .30. However there will be a single stock design offered in both wood and laminate.
KalibrGun also sent a spreadsheet of performance data documenting the testing the company has undertaken with US-specification Cricket 3 PCP air rifles. I have taken that and produced the following graphics for ease of comparison.
First let’s take a look at performance with the longest – 700 mm – barrel. With the regulator set to 150 Bar (2,175 PSI), the Muzzle Energy climbs from 49 Ft/Lbs in .22 caliber, peaking at 98 Ft/Lbs in .30 cal – that’s 936 FPS with 50.16 Grain pellets.
Again using the 150 Bar regulator pressure, the 600 mm barrel gives a peak of 91 Ft/Lbs in .30 caliber (905 FPS with 50.16 Grain pellets).
The shortest – 450 mm – barrel will be available in just .177 and .22 calibers. Here power peaks at 39 Ft/Lbs with 15.90 Grain pellets and a 150 Bar regulator setting.
That sounds like pretty-impressive performance levels, particularly when combined with KalibrGun’s straightforward tuning system – just change the reg pressure to change the power.
There’s no specific details yet on US pricing and availability. However, more information will likely be available at the IWA OutdoorClassics Show in February/March 2026. HAM will be there and we’ll keep you posted with updates then.
