Others Ever Kill a Fly, with an air gun?!

Set up my target box @ 40Y today and checked zero with the S510 (shooting 18.13) and right on the money after sitting all week....is there anything better than a gun that holds zero week after week?! Well I was about to shoot some groups and this fly landed on the edge of my target box....couldn't resist....pretty much a gimme at that distance.
If you zoom in you can see the splatter, lol.

Nice one Danman! I enjoy blasting a few flying pests myself. Only a couple of my rifles can do it accurately. Still in the 90s this week so plenty of pests around to blast!

Of course I was aiming at it and no way did it just fly in the path of the pellet.

Just put a styrofoam container discarded from some chicken and they will show up.

I used to shoot flies a lot and flying dragon flies about 60+ years ago with my red rider. You hit the dragon flies when they hover, and they spiral down like an airplane crashing. Now that I know the dragon flies eat mosquitoes I leave them alone.

Yes, I wish more Dragon flies would take up residence near me, they eat those pesky sand gnats that try and get in my eyes, ears and nose when I’m trying to shoot my Airguns in the summer.

You can buy dragonfly nymphs except in CA, AZ, FL.

Need a pond/still water for the mymphs but probably could build up a colony.

We released some as science project for the kids a couple years ago.

I think FL22 will have trouble receiving them in FL.

Don’t haft to. Got cattle feed lots everywhere around me here. I get a lot of practice with the blow gun, and huben 25 or any of the airguns I have. But the ground hogs are the best!

Last year I killed three flies all at a 100, then the year before that unzipped two lizards that were sunning themselves behind my target on the horizontal 2 x 6 runner of my fence. I clipped them w/o one nick to the fence board, even held off for wind. Both lizard kills were also at 100.

But what cracks me up is, I can’t seem to hit the 10 ring at the RMAC and EBR events, only lizards n flies!!
