Benchrest ELEY X-Shot FREE Scoring App and Remote Competitions

I’ve got a long way to go. But, I’ll get there lol. But, I thought I’d share my experience with the ELEY X-Shot target system. You basically use their 50m/yd benchrest target and download their scoring app.. You can setup online postal matches and compete against each other from wherever you currently shoot. You can use multiple calibers and the app converts it to .22 scoring. Other than the targets it’s all free. Anyone interested in a postal match?

I bought those on Amazon - $26.99 for 50. The ELEY branded ones are are slightly more expensive. I was printing my own, but they don’t work well.

It doesn’t just score your target. It allows you to setup a competition through their app, where shooters from anywhere in the world can participate. The event/competition would be accessible through their app.. it is mainly for .22lr or airguns. There’s no cost, they just want you to use their targets and if you’re entering a .22lr event, they hope that you use their match ammo. I thought you had some PCPs as well?

They have their own system for clubs=ranges that is lives. For us everyday phone carriers - photo of target, press score and it does the rest.

Yes, I downloaded app and created an account. I'll have to order some targets at some point, but I think this will be great. I also think the targets will work with my Daisy smart target, so I can live feedback as well.

We can basically use any rules that we want to within reason, it’s obviously base on the honor system. Me personally, I haven’t been embarrassed at all by uploading some of my terrible and not so terrible targets lol. So, if I suddenly start posting 240s, you know either I’ve abandoned my integrity or enlarged my targets.

I post what I shoot, and they are getting better.
Targets are on the way. I ordered the ones from Amazon, but I might get some from Eley as well.

I've yet to post an impressive shoot. As I've yet to succeed at making an impressive shoot. We all start somewhere, and I happily hold the basement dwelling anchor position in almost every challenge I do.

This could be a lot of fun and can also be helpful for the shooters that would like to hone their skills for competition. Keep it fun and not overly competitive and maybe we can encourage more shooters to participate. If there’s enough interest I’ll make a few plaques or trophies on the CNC router/laser or 3D printers. But, first we have to make sure it works lol.

Shooting the Ghost with JSB Exact King Heavy MKII 33.95gr pellets. @Pumacarl said something to me, that got me thinking about these pellets. I realized that I never tried the MKII in the Ghost HP. Well I did today and they performed well. I shot my best 50yd X-Shot card tonight. I shot the card from the bottom left, shooting l-r, r-l as I moved up the card. I was shooting off an Accutac FC4 and my 3d printed rear mechanical rest. I have left the rest outside in Floridas high humidity for months. The Chinese stainless steel has rusted and it gets stuck in the middle. I believe that was detrimental to the one row. But, it could just be an excuse. I was too lazy to get the electric rest out. In all honesty, I can’t decide if I prefer an adjustable rear rest or a front rest better. Let’s get an X-Shot league going. It costs nothing other than targets and is a lot of fun.

I love those in .25 caliber in both the Ghost and the Sniper XR!

Yup! That goes back in my truck this week. It only shoots the MKII pellets too. I need to get my hunting license first though. Haven't needed it yet, just been blowing up starlings with the 21fpe Vectis and the 10.03gr Mk3 KO's.
