Now we can publish the EBR 2023 official results – including the air rifles that were used by the winning competitors. Many people want to see this information and Airguns of Arizona – the organizers – have delivered!

In addition, we’ve added (where applicable and available) an EBR “Hall of Fame” summary so that you can compare the EBR 2023 official results with those from years past.

It’s very interesting to see how the scores have improved with time. The shooters – and their equipment – are clearly getting better and better!

For photographs of the winners, please see this previous HAM post.

Enjoy!

Thanks for publishing all this data @hameditor . I find it interesting to read what equipment others used. Did you ever gather and post similar data from PAC?
I think I have info on the PA Cup for the Field Target competitors. But not for Benchrest. Will go back and double check. I definitely have not published anything yet, however. Apologies - there's a ton stuff happening right now...

@hameditor Caleb has informed me that he shot Derick Wall’s Benjamin Bulldog modified by Veradium Air called a “Taurus” modification model in the EBR Extreme Big Bore Open competition. The nod to Pitbull Airguns is a typo.

Thanks for the information. I'll shared this with AoA. Update: change made.

The Centercut Factor for this EBR 2023 in Pro 100Y is 3.1% (winning margin compared to next 5 top finishers). Middle of the pack for difficulty compared to historical numbers since Covid-19, but certainly larger (better performance by the winner) than the other "majors" this year at 2023 RMAC (1.7%) and 2023 PAC (1.1%). The 2023 NAC was 0.9%.

IMHO, the smaller the winning percentage, the "easier" the wind conditions, and the greater the "luck factor" for the top shooters. The 2023 NAC, at under 1%, was a "coin toss" at the top this year...

The 3.1% margin at EBR 2023 by Thayne is a strong showing. I shot on the bench next to him and his ability to shoot at the exact right wind conditions is amazing... He also shoots MANY (150+?) sighters during his matches in swirly wind like at Rio Salado.

Another interesting factoid. Of the top four shooters at 100Y Finals, two were .30 caliber and two were .22 caliber. One doesn't really seem to have an advantage over the other...
