I would not be so sure about this. I have rebarreled a P15 with an unchoked LW .25, and my Barra 250z is an unchoked .22, and both shoot pellets well. It seems to me that barrels and pellets have gotten so much better that the old rule doesn't apply as much as it use to. I was shooting the .22 AEA 21.9gr pellets at 987fps too, and they were still shooting tight groups. I would get an occassional flyer, but that could have been on me. The unchoked LW barrel shoots the 34gr MkII's just as well as my choked Marauder, and choked LW TalonP barrel. A good barrel, is a good barrel.

That's good to hear! And I've seen choked barrels shoot slugs well too
For the power these 2 Condors are laying down, lack of choke & increased tank fill pressure, I suspect slugs will do far better than pellets.
Which makes me wonder....AF and Daystate/Brk are now both spec-ing Lothar Walther slug barrels for their guns....maybe @Solo1 or @duchunter007 can speak to this...are the new (.22) Brk slug barrels you guys recieved choked? Is it an aggressive choke? Have you folks pushed a slug/pellet through by hand to test? Do the slug barrels shoot pellets ok too? So many questions

No choke and though i haven’t tried it it should shoot pellets too i know my tiapan does both and no choke. You should get a brk slug 22. I think you will like it you can get 75 fpe with 40 gr air marksman

Yes sir its in the cards. I'll talk to the wife and see if we can make it a Christmas gift
That way I'm all ready for next pesting season. I shoot a ton of Starlings usually every spring/summer. Really hoping H&N precision 33gr slugs shoot well outta it. 25-34gr slugs is my goal for Ammo. 40gr is mighty excessive for starlings
That's another thing I noticed; the Ghost and the Condor specs with the slug barrels pretty much match in FPE between .22 and .25.

Well if these shoot as well at 100 as they do at 10 m your gonna love this @Danman i just put the 22 slug barrel in 135 b pw 17 25 gr h&n slugs advertised bc 0.1 1010 fps turn pw to 4 aea 25 gr pellets 968-970 fps. Both at 10m exact same hole! Well not each other but each 1 went in 1 22 sized hole!
