Companies that ship pellets well. or Not...

Here’s a photo of a tin of Benjamin single dies that I ordered from Amazon. Since they will never ship pellets like it should be done, I believe it has to do with how long it stays in transit as to how much it gets beat up. It’s all relative, transit time equals damage time .

I had them set up on “subscribe and save” which was the same price as getting it elsewhere with all the gimmicks.

They just went up over three dollars a tin, I hit the cancel button.

The price increase plus the extra damage = .

Pay 2000$ for a BB gun but not a extra $3 for a tin of " quality " pellets .. go figure

That stuff as expensive as good pellets ain't it Hateful? Can't be spilling any of it!

Just to add a disclaimer that plinking pellets is more healthy than dipping cope ..

In my experience, Pyramyd Air is lapping the field when it comes packaging pellets for shipment, and has been for a long time.

And we all know what it looks like when pellet tins are tossed in a cardboard box, maybe with a token air pillow included. Dented (I'm being kind) tins, tins busted open with pellets all over the insides of the box, pellets with mangled skirts (and I mean inside the tins as well).

That said, at least one company has stepped up - Field Supply.
Just ordered 6 tins of pellets, and they were shrink wrapped together, then 360° double bubble wrapped, and then that bundle was fit into a box with all airgaps completely stuffed to make the bundle immobile. "Five Stars" from me.

There must be other companies that do it right. I'm guessing Trenier would, and I've never had trouble with Airguns of Arizona shipping.
I've heard horror stories about Midway USA though.

Should we get a little list going? I think it would be worth it just to save some of the community from the hassle and aggravation.

I agree about Pa. Very good foam packing. I buy exclusively from them. It's just hard to swallow the $9 shipping cost.

I agree Flyfisher. The shipping is a little excessive, but saying that, pellets do have weight so ups gonna upcharge some. But the buy 3 get the 4th free evens it out.. if that helps any. It helps me to keep it in my mind anyway.

I did use the B3-1Free deal a couple timed, it does help.

Amen to that. I bought 2 tins last month, both brand new, each sealed in the cardboard pack with the clear plastic can cover. Well, they arrived, both packs water damaged, yet shipping boxes were dry as a bone. This order was fulfilled by Amazon, not some clueless dealer. So, how does that type of service work? And when I say they were water damaged, the cardboard on both was falling apart, with moisture inside on the cans. Good thing I started washing and lubing my pellets.

Another vote for The pellet shop. Always packed well. Ive had mostly good from Pyramyd but have had a few bad 1’s over the years.

PA truly does an excellent job packaging/shipping pellets.
However, their prices are pre-inflated for the B3G1 deal (unless they are having a sale) and they have let me down in other ways.

I have received damaged pellets and tins shipped PA. Called them and they sent me a replacement quickly.

About every three months I’ll try and put in a big order to get free shipping. Usually when there’s one of the larger discount codes to take advantage of like the $25 off.

There is a couple drawbacks to doing that though,
I just put in a large order and I’m waiting on two items that are on backorder.

If you have them send what is in stock you lose the free shipping on part of the order according to the website.

The other problem I have found with getting a large order of pellets happens when the manufacturer’s dies are worn out and you end up with several tins of pellets that are of low quality.

I still have you beat. lol. Airgun Depot, PA, the Pellet Shop, and AoA are the ones I like to use. No problem from them.

The Pellet Shop has ship them to me in cut out foam blocks. Very good.

+1 on the Pellet Shop as well as PA

PA and Utah have always shipped to me in the foam blocks, well protected. Trenier packs them individually in padded envelopes tight in the box, so also well protected. I usually only buy from PA and Trenier due to the savings, but you do have to look elsewhere for AEAs.
