I tend to agree with this. I thought the Ronin was my best (if heavy) in every situation until I tried it on my 250z. It did horrible on that gun for some reason. The Sumo works on everything and is reasonably quiet, certainly quieter than my Tanto's, which also work well on everything.
I have one sumo and two Tanto. Since I like bullpups, which have good working shrouds, the Tantos work great.

Hey look, the 177/22 is on my Krait!

I have a Donny FL Sumo that works amazingly on my Sniper .22 , I highly recommend it.

I also have a 0dB 110C that I use on my Wolverine .177 and it works great.

When I tried the 0dB on my S510 it didn’t do much of anything, the Sumo helped some.
It's so weird, what works with what. Some come into their own when being pushed, others don't. I've got another showing up to test with too, an Impulse Air, that should be interesting. I haven't tried my STO Levitas on anything over 60fpe yet either, and that's about to change. Going to be at +90fpe on the new gun. It would be great if that ended up working better, it only weighs 2 ounces.

Br modular. That's what is on mine currently. Works very well. I do plan on trying a couple more eventually. If I could get one a bit toned lower, with the same effectiveness, that would be my number one.
Im running a BRK mod on my 250z and it lowers the tone considerably. It was about 150 bucks from AOA. I tried the Heartland Mini but it's not even close to toning it down.

For sure. I think comparing things and sharing thoughts are super useful. Ive got to look into the old crow, and a 0db still, but slow and steady wins the race.

Ive got some pretty cool stuff planned out soon, so I'll be attempting a longer form video over view of the 250z from an average buyer/first time owner perspective.

How does that 14cc sit on the z? Is it past the trigger guard, or flush with it?
Check out my post and pics I just put up on the forum, pretty easy install.

Did you 'preorder' the rifle? I don't see any showing as available from Barra directly.

Barra was showing shipping date for preorders to be 1/31. I see that they changed the preorder date to 2/11 now. Hope the rifles make it in by the new 2/11 date???

Pyramyd got a handful of 250z .22 in yesterday. I checked and the current 11% code (GETEM) works on the rifle in the cart. Brings the price down to $463. Still $23 dollars higher than what Midway sells it for but not a bad price considering all vendors that sell the 250z.

If you preordered from Barra you might want to buy one now from PA and cancel the preorder. Just an option that might get a rifle faster in case the preorder rifles don't show up on time.

Yes, I did pre-order the rifle from Bara. My thoughts were they would ship to customers who pre-ordered, guess that's not the case. I also thought they would send the pre-ordered customers the creme of the crop, probably wrong as well, they are telling me all Tan rifles will ship by 2/11/26. As Bogie would say " choices".Considering your collective knowledge what would you guys do?
Sorry for the extended post!

If you want one, you have to order it from someone, why not the source? They weren't checking them originally, but they are probably checking some of them now, at least. They've expressed to many that they recognized the early problems and there have been fewer complaints showing up. Maybe SPA is getting their act together too. Everybody learns eventually. This gun though, is one of the few guns that I would recommend buying from a seller that will check that it holds air and functions, before shipping it out, even if it means paying for the service, like PA does. I don't know how much that really matters either because it stills has to pass the hurdle of surviving shipping. Good luck, either way, they are awesome guns to me.

Puma, thanks for the info. I have already received a gun that wouldn't hold air and luckily was able to ship it back for a refund.
Having started with a gauntlet and moved to a Avenger.22, I have learned how to rebuild a rifle. The avenger did require a new regulator. I've been shooting about 4 times a week about 50 yards after that I can't get the accuracy I want. Reading and watching the reviews on the 250z with an externally adjustable reg.was my priority, I am hoping to get a good barrel. Put some good glass on it and enjoy tweaking it. By the way I shoot slugs 99% of the time.

I've got my two new barrels polished and installed, Just haven't had many opportunities to shoot. The weather will be getting warmer soon and the time change is less than a month away. So, I should be putting them through the paces soon and updating my thread. Both guns have plenums, one is ported the other isn't, yet... ;)
