I have no way of 'spending' them as no Canadian retailers are on board with the Ham point system.....and honestly I'm the only Canadian frequently (too frequently?so it just that " are you a points hoarder? "
what will you do with the points?
what have you done with your points?
Why the 500fps limit? WTH is up with that draconian law?I have no way of 'spending' them as no Canadian retailers are on board with the Ham point system.....and honestly I'm the only Canadian frequently (too frequently?) posting on this forum, (which btw i actually find surprising!?) So they'll just keep adding up for now. Can't buy any scopes or airguns above 500fps from the U.S. from participating retailers and ship here either as customs will grab em.
I got my license so I'm good to buy/shoot above that of course, but to make life easier at the US/Cdn border; no gun traffic is allowed across unless you do some SERIOUS paperwork. I tried buying a Diana 350magnum from Pyramyd as my first gun and they cancelled it next day when they saw my address. Options are: smuggling (not that I would obviously) or getting a cdn dealer to bring it in specially for you from the States. Sub 500fps is basically a toy they figure i guess? Why the 500fps limit? I admit that I have not researched on how to use or where to use themso it just that " are you a points hoarder? "

@Fishing 43 If you go to the hamburger menu (the 3 lines up top left in mobile browser), scroll down, and click “HAM points,” this page should appearI admit that I have not researched on how to use or where to use them![]()

Man that sucks. 500fps.....it's not like yall don't have major pests up there.I got my license so I'm good to buy/shoot above that of course, but to make life easier at the US/Cdn border; no gun traffic is allowed across unless you do some SERIOUS paperwork. @Danman Maybe we can get Krale on board with HAM points discount. That 500 fps limit is nuts to me. It’s the total opposite here. If I broke one of those out and didn’t shoot lights out with it, I’d get laughed out of the state.I got my license so I'm good to buy/shoot above that of course, but to make life easier at the US/Cdn border; no gun traffic is allowed across unless you do some SERIOUS paperwork. It's a nice individual gesture but I don't think that it's a win for the whole community. People actively participating, and in doing so, building up their own points, makes for more of a communal win, with more people being active. This keeps things a lot more interesting then the same people just talking everyday and doling out their points.I donated my HAM points in the past with the permission of the HAM site owner. And am willing to donate most of my points to any members who would use them… I simply cannot use them all, so no, I don’t consider myself a points hoarder… Maybe there should be a easy way to donate points to HAM members looking to make purchases. A win win for the entire HAM community…![]()
