Added grains and pellet drop

Hi all. Speaking break barrel here. I was just wondering if anyone knows of a “rule of thumb” about pellet drop over say 30 yds vs. added grains of weight. On break barrels we can’t adjust power and I don’t like to keep adjusting the scope. I get around it by first shooting paper or wasting pellet until I figure the hold over. I am an old timer but love to learn new short cutsStay well all, enjoy the good shooting weather
