Benchrest 75yd Benchrest Limited to $1000 Rifle/scope What Ya Building?

If there was a 75yd benchrest competition that only allowed a new rifle and scope combination with a street price of $1000 or less, what would you put together?
Rules
1. Total street price of the rifle and scope can’t be more than $1000 when new. In other words you can’t buy a $1500 rifle used and use it. They have to be available for less than $1000 (before tax) at two or more reputable retailers.
2. Limit it to .22, with no power limit.
3. No weight or size restrictions.
I would use the Marauder Gen 3. I can find it for $750 and that would leave me me with $250 for a scope. I’m not sure on the scope, but maybe a Discovery Optics. Still researching the scope.

I was verifying some things. But if it pans out as good as seems from the influencer circuit, the Pinty falcon x topped with an Odin 5-30x56 ffp scope. Puts right around $800-850 mark I think. But leaves room for options in the optic world for sure. This is just my preliminary thoughts. I may decide on a different build.

Was just looking at prices on pyramyd and $1000 for gun and scope really puts you in poor optics i think.

Honestly, wrong caliber but the idea of a Vapor Max with a midas or Sightron SII 36x42 scope on top tempts me and makes me giggle all in one. If someone wants to donate the scope, I'll give it the college try. I had great luck with it, body rested, out to 90 or so with the cheap air venturi pack in scope.

I would go with the MG3 too and another Athlon Argos ($210), but maybe a Gauntlet limited ($702.) it looks the part. Not sure how it shoots.

At 75yds it would probably be more fair to open the caliber choice up to .177-.35.

Qilin bp-x 28" barrel, good reviews on accuracy 550$ ....just to try something new. It's rated at 80fpe on .22 and a reviews I seen showed it was getting that. optician evx 6-24x50 from Trenier air is 410$.

Edit if the caliber is open it's available in .25 and .30 as well, same price

The Qilin line has 3 sizes. 17, 24, 28. 28 is a slug barrel as I asked them. I don't need one lol but they are compact. 10" longer than the barrel in all sizes, threaded end cap. 60-80cc plenum. If they shoot straight that's an awesome deal. I wouldn't have bought my max 1. This is 250$ cheaper. The hammer spring adjuster is nice looking and appears in the range of more expensive rifles.

I would have to go with what I got. Marauder gen 3 and a Vector Orion 6-24x50 hd. $800 rifle $165 scope, both on sale at the time.

I would go with a Marauder Gen 3 and a Monstrum Tactical Challenger or a Beast scope. Depending on what I could get a Gen3 for gives you some options on the scope.

We recently had a Monstrum Tactical Challenger and a Beast in the office to play with, and they were both good-looking scopes for the money.

You could do a 250z or a Marauder Gen 2 kit. I could go on but the ones listed would be good at 75 and the XL good for a 100 no problems.

I will say I have the Falcon X some Influencers reviewed. I would not be afraid to compete with it at 75 yards. That said I am not sure how the production units will be so I am holding out until they are released.

Falcon X $559.99 + Athlon Argos BTR 6-24X50 $220 = 779.99 (Rings $60 bipod $30 Surfboard @20 Red Dot $18 JSB 18.13gr 1000 $52) will get you this.

Yes that is the XL in the background from my prior recommendation.

+1 on the Barra 270Z.
Throw on my 12x Hawke airmax and call it $1000 USD....definitely would cross that 1k line in cdn dollars lol.
Of all the new lower-priced pcps, the 270 interests me the most.
I am a lover of .22 cal for pcps but stretching to 75Y can get wild with wind, unless shooting Mrds.
Seeing what everyone has done mod wise with the 250, the 270Z should be able to crush 50fpe in .25cal easily and make the 33gr pellets a good option.
(on paper) the 270Z will struggle in stock form to push them beyond 850fps though?
