After changing over to the crosman steel breach on the 362 or 3622, or even the Co2 pistols, what is the fix for the big pellet drop before it is pushed all the way into the chamber? All my pellets keep taking a big nose dive in the screw hole, and won't seat without finagling them into place.

Personally I find that I need to seat the pellet into the barrel using this steel breech. The version fitted to the 362 Limited Edition model is far superior in that respect but is - I believe - not compatible with the other models. https://hardairmagazine.com/review

Any ideas of what could help resolve the problem? This is got to be a common issue when going from the plastic to the steel breach. It has been the same with all mine. Is a longer breach screw made for this issue?

Thank you sir! I appreciate the information. Had been told years back, to use drop of clear fingernail polish. No way I was gonna risk that stuff getting into the inner workings.

Definitely this. But with my scope mounted, dropping the pellet into the breach is pretty much out for me. Between arthritis, and my nerve damaged hand tremors, even .22 pellets are getting hard to handle.

I have to date three Crosman 3622 PCP rifles and I replaced the plastic breech's on all of them and with the exception of one of them they can be loaded. by simply dropping the pellet in the chamber and moving the bolt forward. The one sample I have that will not do this requires me to feed the pellet directly Into the chamber. Like you said the 362 Anniversary M362 has a modified breech and lower receiver with the breech grub screw positioned farther back to alleviate this Issue! I also have a few Crosman Custom shop 2240 variants that also have the grub breech screw situated further back. I wonder If Crosman Is now putting this modification In their new production model 1377,1322, 362's?

@BenjeneerJohn would be the person who could tell us...

@RatSmacker - We have always had a breech with the screw under the bolt and another with the screw in the pellet loading area. The plastic breech replacement kits have the screw in the pellet loading area. Products that come from the factory have the screw under the bolt. The hammers are different for each breech style.

I don't 100% know how this came to be, but it was like that when I got here and had been for some time.

Hey boys just, wanted to share this with my fellow Hard Air Mag brothers, I received an Email from Crosman & Gamo yesterday, apparently their websites had a glitch and went down, when they got it back up they are offering a 20% off coupon good till 6-16-25 Tomorrow 11:59 pm. If you need anything don't hesitate to pull the trigger.
