250Z 250Z tuning, mainly slugs.

I bet your barra shoots like a dream. I’d put my own up against a lot of more expensive guns out there… but with your know-how and tuning experience I bet that thing freaking purrs.
They are a diamond in the rough. With a bit of elbow grease they can become.amazing rifle. The number one thing I am proud of is my match grade trigger kit. I will put it uo against anything made today.

Hi everyone, I know its been a while. I haven't been completely idle with the guns but there's been a lot on my plate this fall. I had open heart surgery on 11/11 with a crap ton of tests leading up to it. TBH, posting on forums hasn't been high on my list of things to do. The recovery was much better than I thought it would be and I am doing very well.

I have been following threads here from time to time. I have contacted Barra about the two guns I have and a barrel I purchased from them. They are going to refund the barrel and swap out the those in both of the guns. I will be sending everything out next week and hopefully have the replacements in early January.

It's been very frustrating thinking I was doing something wrong and didn't know how to shoot. But it was these barrels not shooting slugs. If all goes well a month from now things will be in much better shape.

Happy Hollidays everyone!

Get to feeling better and Merry Christmas! Hopefully Barra will get you fixed up quickly about your guns.

Barra is taking the two barrels from the guns and the one I purchased back. I'll get two new ones and a refund. I'm sending them out tomorrow and hopefully it won't take too long for the replacements to come in.

I am going to request that they pack the replacements better than the one I bought. It had loose slop in the packing allowing the barrel to slide back and forth which did some damage at the breech end. I'm also thinking about telling them to keep the refund and send me some o-rings and hammer springs. They don't have any other parts or accessories on their website that I want.

I will be going through similar.. I have a lower aortic aneurism surgery in a month... I pray it goes well..
I have only read a little bit about descending and/or abdominal aortal aneurisms. Do you know if they are going to do a sleeve around the aneurism or if it's going to be a graft replacement? A replacement is a bigger deal but they have gotten very good at this now. I just hope you have a good surgeon and you are confident in the persons abilities. I had one of the best in the country at the Georgia Heart Institute.

Don't know how old you are or if you have a cardiologist but having your heart vessels checked out might be a good thing. If you're in need of any bypasses they can do them at the same time. Especially if yours is going to involve a chest crack. Get tuned up while they are in there ;)

I found out Friday the I have to go in on the 20th to have a stent or two put in. It was a branch they couldn't easily bypass.

All stints, about 5 I believe.. The specialist cardiologist referred me to a another specialist up north of Chicago.. Since the problem is close to the bottom of my heart.. He does difficult procedures like these.. I am 72... I have had CT scans every year for many years..

My aneurism didn't qualify for the EVAR procedure and I got a 28 mm dacryon tube graft. Recovery from EVAR is much quicker than what I had done. So, that's good news for you.

I grew up in Niles and lived in a lot of the northwest suburbs before moving to Atlanta. The sister of a good friend of mine runs a cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) machine at the Mayo Clinic. If I wasn't comfortable with my surgeon I would have flown up to Minneapolis to have my procedure done. Another really good hospital system for aortic aneurisms is the Cleveland Clinic. The main thing is being comfortable with the surgeon and knowing that they have done a lot of these procedures.

I've got several questions that have come to mind. But I'd like to start with this. I see a lot of posts regarding exact pressures on the reg. The gauges on this gun don't have the best resolution. Are you guys just using a rough ball park or is there another tool to get a more precise reg pressure?

On the filling side, I used the Vevor pump for the 1st time last night and I had to go a few hundred psi higher than 3600psi on its auto shutoff gauge to get the gun to slightly past the 3500 mark on the gun. So, which gauge should I trust?
Trust the gauge on the gun is what I do with my GX CS4 compressor. I wind up going higher on the compressor on about six of my rifles to reach expected pressure on my guns gauge. Probably just the pump gauge is wrong from the factory.

Same just trust the gun. With the EQ I fill to 4600psi and then it cools to 4500psi and I’m happy as a clam Haha
