Not sure what else may be hiding in your safe, but I am lucky enough to have two USFTs and access to my wife's and my Thomas. I bought the USFT as my first rifle and shot it over two years in FT competition. It taught me the basics at the very least. It's a bit rough compared to the refined...
funny story I heard about one of these carrying cases.
A cop friend suggest that his buddy use a guitar case like this to carry his rifle(s) on the NY subway. Told whoever asked that he plays the guitar. When riding said subway with the cop friend someone asked him to pull out his guitar and...
I used to load hard cases in my coupe and station wagon. Not hard for the neighbors to figure out, but not as easy as a rifle bag would be. I am now using a large SUV with a hard mounted case where the third row would be. That is inconspicuous. cannot be seen as it is below the window.
Now my...
most consistently well packed are the Pellet Shop and Trenier.
I've had good luck with most of the others, Amazon excepted, but not as good as the above.
Hi Dan - last time no scoring. There was no excess silicone but nothing was dry. The messed up o-ring actually builds either too much pressure or in the wrong location and thus offers too much resistance and the fuse goes PUFF.
It's a pain that these things happen, but I have a back up and I...
@ Blue148 - thank you for the quick reply
@Centercut - once again the Helliboard rears it's head - between programming that and the Delta Wolf my indoor range time will be taken up
;)
Wouldn't you know it - was using the Hill to top off rifles last night and it stopped, struggled and died again. Seemed VERY similar to the top (green) O-ring failure that happened last time.
The fact that I haven't topped off the silicone in 17 hours of use has me worried as others seem to be...
Hello Rob - welcome to the forum
thank you for sharing your insights into the new Daystate. What caught my eye was the above the above statement. Would you be able to elaborate. I presume we are talking about a regulator between the bottle and the rifle. What is the positive effect you notice...
I got mine (non-EVO) at the end of 2021. I have 17 hours on the unit. I have filled large bottles (45 minute) but do it in stages; I.E. 25 bar at a time and allowed the unit to cool off after. So far I've had two issues, both of which I was able to repair myself. One was a broken bullet valve...
bought a used USFT in 2021 - at that point is was about 8-10 years old. I have since bought a MAC 1 .22 hunter that was definitely a first generation, thus even older.
Geoff - beautiful work as ever.
If I recall correctly you've done a tube/cylinder conversion before, but in your own chassis.
I look forward to your all of your videos and have used your Daystate (Red and Delta) disassembly videos to work on my own rifles. Top notch. Thank you.
Hello all - things did not go to plan - S6 arrived but wasn't opened until this AM
Feels and looks fantastic - glass is clear - as for ranging it will be a bit until we can get to it.
Meantime - on a rival forum - cavedweller posted a great review with insight on the scope. I know and have...
Hello Lee, et al,
was just informed last night that my S6 is enroute to my house. May have it as early as tomorrow. Busy weekend ahead so I may not be able to give anything but an initial take with a definitive review / thoughts for a couple of weeks
Not to be a stickler, but a UK retailer I checked indicated that the scopes are not yet available, but can be preordered. Same as on this side of the pond.
SIGHTRON S6 10-60x56 ED SFP illuminated Field Target Riflescope MH-FT Reticle + Garima Magnetic Wheel
delivery isn't supposed to happen until mid-September - maybe the scope you saw was a one off ;-)
if I hear more horror stories I might cancel, or be ready to return the scope ASAP
