2026 Pyramyd Cup Benchrest Bonanza!

Today we’ll take a different approach and just walk down the 2026 Pyramyd Cup benchrest competition, looking at some of the guns and competitors. Our heading photograph above shows Daystate-shooter Lauren Parsons looking very pleased with her 100 Yard target notes!

As noted in my previous story, this is the biggest-ever Pyramyd Cup, with 240 registered competitors.

So this is mainly a photo series, with few words. Enjoy…

Above, we see an Air Venturi Avenge-X Bullpup.

Then below, there’s an Umarex Gauntlet 30.

Moving along, there’s a striking chassis RAW.

Then a Skout.

Of course, we need to have a traditional “down the line” shot, just to provide some context! That’s a lot of competitors!

Team Puerto Rico was present, as always. This shooter’s using a RAW too.

Below, Barb Pellegrino was competing with a wood-stocked Daystate Blackwolf.

While Mathias Vangilbergen from FX Airguns is seen filling his, er, FX…

… we see the scene behind the shooters. There’s a LOT of interest in the competition.

Below. Kevin Sheehan from Hawke Optics was also shooting an FX – in this case a Crown.

Of course, there were many Red Pandas to be seen, including this one being shot by Thayne Simmons. Note the blast of water vapor from the muzzle. The humidity was pretty high at times, to put it mildly!

Below, John Bagakis is another committed Daystate shooter.

One spotting scope shared between friends makes both happy watching the competition!

Below. Another model to be seen in large numbers this year was the RTI Mora. That’s Rok shooting. He owns RTI and had traveled over from Europe to compete.

Hmmm. I guess to me I look at those items, PRS rail for example, as an accessory, and I look at modifications as something done to the rifle, I.e. porting on valve or changing a spring tension etc. Maybe I have an idea on my next video
