Pinty Buster Safety assembly issue

I pre-ordered a Buster back in March and finally received it at the end of June. Unfortunately, I believe the safety has been installed incorrectly as it will not fire and the notch on the right side doesn't align with either safe or fire. Since Pinty has not returned my emails inquiring about the issue, I am curious how difficult it is to reach the safety. It appears the upper portion of the receiver is held on by four bolts so I'm hoping it's just a matter of degassing and removing that section.

Does anyone have any experience disassembling a Buster yet?

I don't have any experience with the Buster, but if noone here is able to help I think Redcornoutdoors or Lead Fever on YouTube should be able to help answer questions. But, hopefully customer service also gets back to you, although I would expect tomorrow night at the earliest.

I had similar issues with the Buster safety.

The safety has a screw.
Try screwing it tighter or looser, don't remember which I did.

Update:

After three weeks with no reply from Pinty, I went ahead with non3's advice. Turns out, other than the safety lever, there is nothing from stopping the safety from rotating fully. I was able to unscrew the safety selector and rotate the safety into the correct position. After placing the ball bearing back into the detent I tightened up the lever until it was tight but still able to be manipulated. The Buster is now functional.

Not a great first impression of Pinty customer service or QC, but I'll slap a spare scope on it and see how it shoots. Here's hoping the Crosman hollow points that shoot so well in my Urban shoot equally well in this.

I slapped a spare Weaver 2.5-8x on top after taking off the rear sight. Realistically, a 2-6x would be a better fit, but this one had rings on it already so I didn't need to find a pair. After sighting in at ~15 yards I moved the target back to the 50 yard mark. I was only able to get four groups in before running out of daylight. The groups were decent, 1.5-2", but I had a problem with horizontal stringing. It took me a while, but I figured out I wasn't pulling the trigger straight back. It seems like the Buster has longer-than-expected lock time, exacerbating the problem. That being said, it's not the gun, it's the shooter. Overall, the trigger is decent. I don't really feel the need to adjust it. There is minimal creep and it's not overly heavy. An overtravel stop might improve the consistency, but I don't think it's necessary. One more annoying thing: I wasn't able to get the thread protector off in time to test my Buckmark moderator. I'm going to need something like a strap wrench to get a grip on it. As-is, it's not .22lr loud, but if I had neighbors nearby I would be concerned.

If I get a wild hair I'll do an in-depth review after testing all my pellets, but overall I'm relatively pleased. For ~$250 it seems worth it. I still might get a Notos to compare, but I'm not particularly interested in a pistol/carbine hybrid.
