So the wife and I just got back from a trip and the next morning I was walking out to get the trail cam from outside the back fence and I saw this sticking out of some extra roof tiles on the side of the hosue.

This is the first Rattle Snake we have ever had at the house (We have lived here almost 4 years now) and it was in the backyard. Now we have a snake fence all around the yard, but I know there are places these things can get through, under the large gates is my guess.
So I put on my snake gators, and grabbed my trusty BRK Pathfinder and went to work. Put a mag in it and shot all 13 177 pellets under the tile. The rattling, from inside, started with the first shot, but I kept sending them.

I put a tile, in front, to block the opening and just let him bake in the sun for over an hour. Yup it was DEAD!!!!!!!!
I pulled it out with a set of snake grabbers and whacked it's head off and straight into the trash can. It measured 32 inches without it's head and had 7 rattles.

Feeling good about myself that I had just saved the homestead we went back in. After shopping and grabbing some fish for dinner I walked out to where our neighbors lemon tree drops lemons. As I reached down to grab a few lemons

F me!!!!!!! Two in one day
Well this time to the rescue, the trusty Huntsman comes out. Pushed myself back ten yards and started to pump the entire magazine into this rattler.

Here it is headless

Here they are laid out in front of the trail cam. We will see what comes by and eats them.

Here are both sets of rattles. The larger one is from the second snake that measured abut 36 inches.

Well let's hope that is all the Rattlers we run into here, but I am ready with the Pathfinder and the Huntsman
Now it's time for another cup of coffee.
