What Age Group Do You Fit in?

From my experience with my grandsons they would rather shoot it out with someone on tv than shoot in real life. 1 out of the 3 has much of any interest

yea I suspect it is todays invirment as a whole not just the at home but what they are exposed to in the would.

One of my children won't even touch, preferably not even be in a room with a gun. But, I think there are more "younger" airgunners than we realize, this is just not the platform they are coming to. There are several new younglings with airgun channels on YouTube, and I suspect this same poll done on the airgun subreddits would draw a different outcome. There was also an airgun discord channel I was in for a while where I was one of the old guys. Here I am one of the young guys.

dont count us old guys out we are the ones that started with the red ryder and now just getting into pcp but im getting my son gransons and g-danghter interested in pcp just fun shooting and having with family along with hardcore competition you got to beat me to beat me the only shot is this one

Well Im 33 so still on the young side but when I first got into PCPs I was 23. No one around me then knew anything about them. Now I know quite a few people in my age range that have them or show interest in getting some.

@PapaT I totally agree with your observations about technology and the age of users. Even reading the HAM Community - let alone participating - is self-selecting based on age, I'm sure.

Looking the other way, I wouldn't even know what a "subreddt" is, although I can probably guess. There would be a strong - but reverse - correlation based on age there, too.

It's good that we have different media that can appeal to different age shooters. But - I have to say - I don't see many young airgun shooters in Field Target or Benchrest competitions. There's plenty in 10 Meter competition, but they don't seem to cross-over into the sort of airgun shooting that interests us. That's a shame...
