Same here, i fill them all to full. That way they are ready to go when pesting arises!I would not worry about a 200psi discrepancy. Forced to pick, compressor. But the mfg is not going to put a gauge so inaccurate as to be dangerous on the rifle.
I dont have any problem filling my guns to their stated max.
Just go to where the gauge setting shows full. At least that's what i do on my rifles. Sometimes the compressor doesn't match what the rifle gauge says but i just turn the dial until the rifle gauge is correct and shows full.It came today
Looked it over, all seems well so far.
Ran a couple oil patches down the bore.
Good thing, it was a bit grubby.
Filled to 3100 PSI on the tank reg.
Pump reg says 3300 PSI
Which one do I trust? I'm thinking the tank reg.
Do you all fill to 3600 on the tank or stop short?

So far it’s all looking pretty good. The thing has really good power. I’ve been hovering around 100fpe and still getting like 30 shots a fill. I’ve got some big fat boat tails that I’m going to be trying this week so that should be interesting. Can't wait to see your report on the Karma EQ .30!
So far I’m really liking it. I only shoot slugs haha. It’s really windy down here and I’m trying to hunt coyotes so yeah.Really would like to hear all the details as you get to know the EQ.
Will you be shooting slugs?
I’ve been fantasizing about a hog hitter & think the EQ might be high on my list!
I am specifically looking at .30 cal & .357 cal and staying subsonic for stealth. Consistency from the slug producer is huge in my opinion but…So far I’m really liking it. I only shoot slugs haha. It’s really windy down here and I’m trying to hunt coyotes so yeah.
#1 it’s the most solid feeling airgun I’ve ever held. The buttplate, cheek rest and grip are the only non metal parts on the gun.
#2 it’s annoying to tune because the reg needs a lot of dry firing to settle and the hammer spring is behind the buttplate. I custom made a tool in the shop to help with that. But these are relatively minor complaints. The good thing about the reg is that it doesn’t move once it does settle. I was testing a string of 60gr slugs and at one point the chrono hit 982 5 shots in a row… and based on the point of impact I don’t think it was a chrono error.
#3 it will load, cycle and shoot the biggest longest boat tail slugs around… INTO THE MAG….go on griffin’s website and you see them say “these will not load into mags.” So you will not need to hand load a single thing. I have an order of them coming soon so I’ll report back on that tune. I’ve already hit like 109fpe just playing with some the other day.
Right now I’m shooting 52gr javelins that I got on sale at 935fps. 100fpe and about 30 shots a fill. So 3,000 total FPE per tank to sling at varmints.
Mostly it’s been time and ammo issues that have prevented me from finalizing a tune yet haha. My main slug maker Franco slugs has been out of lead so I ordered a bunch of store bought ones that I don’t love. I have some Sonny’s Slugs and Giffins coming to play with those. My goal is a dual tune. One that will let me shoot big boattails at coyotes but lighter (55-60gr) slugs for other critters. I shoot a lot so being cost effective is a goal.
BTW if you’re shooting slugs in .25 try out some Franco slugs. They’re the best ones I’ve tried in that caliber and his prices are
Well when it comes to consistency the best slugs I’ve found are Franco slugs in .25 cal. I found him on the AGN classifieds I’ve weighed them on a grain scale. The consistency in weight and length is unreal.I am specifically looking at .30 cal & .357 cal and staying subsonic for stealth. Consistency from the slug producer is huge in my opinion but…
I want to hear all of the gory details!

I'm glad the guys at Karma were thinking ahead when they were designing the rifle and mag to shoot the longer heavier slugs! So far I’m really liking it. I only shoot slugs haha. It’s really windy down here and I’m trying to hunt coyotes so yeah.

Right!?! The 75gr are almost .600 inches long!I'm glad the guys at Karma were thinking ahead when they were designing the rifle and mag to shoot the longer heavier slugs!
That thing has some massive stopping power!Right!?! The 75gr are almost .600 inches long!
I seriously believe that we are going to witness some very significant forethought by manufacturers in the area of projectile capabilities. These changing demands by users are going to decide who is serious about being mainstream and dominant in the airgun world. I know that the guys who put forward the most versatile platform will earn my business as long as they remain “reasonably” priced.I'm glad the guys at Karma were thinking ahead when they were designing the rifle and mag to shoot the longer heavier slugs!
Interested in your spread and other specs with the 18.1’s. Currently shooting 25.39’s in my .22. Hoping a blind pig can find the acorn.
Completely agree. Slugs are not just a fad but a way of life for a lot of shooters now. Look at the 250z… people got excited about it because it was an out the box slug shooter for less than $500. The reason I went the same vein with the EQ is because on the spec sheet a really pretty naked gir…… *cough* a saw a gun in .30 cal that just screamed “Put big slugs in me!!” For $950 and I didn’t need to mod it. Just tune.I seriously believe that we are going to witness some very significant forethought by manufacturers in the area of projectile capabilities. That was the worst spread that i recorded but didn’t want to push too much smoke up anyones skirt. Had a 10 and an 11 for 20 shots each just before that group. That’s not bad at all! I bet a little bit of micro adjustment on the hammer spring will bring that spread below 10… it’s not a must. Those Zelos are super accurate… but if you’re looking to jump down the rabbit hole sit at 25y and hit some 5 round groups. Make tiny little adjustments to the hammer spring until those groups are even more tiny than your chances of winning the lottery and my self-esteem![]()
That’s awesome! These are the things I love so much about PCP’s. You get to decide how they shoot. I like to obsess over the regulator and a really tiny spread. I always aim for less than 10fps… BUT I only put a hunting zero on the scopeThat was the worst spread that i recorded but didn’t want to push too much smoke up anyones skirt. I think the most underrated aspect is the sound. It’s one of those “if you know, you know” things but when tuning always pay attention to how it sounds. Are you getting a really “pingy” metallic sound? You might have too much Hammer Spring… a I can usually hear hammer bounce before I notice anything else. How does the the report sound? If it’s not that crisp release of air something is out of balance. Even at high pressure it might get a little longer but the sound should be quick and crisp. Those are just little things that you’ll really notice the more you shoot. Thanks for your information. Just cleaned my barrel and will see if that helps accuracy. Suspect the airgun is not the main problem.
