That's an impressive accuracy gain with your powder coated experiment ammo! So, I shot the EscapeSS with the .20 barrel in it until the heat drove me inside. wind was 9-15 about 80-degree crosswind. Shot the 15gr JSB for the first time. They were okey but the 13gr JSB will keep them all in the red dot. I did not shoot them today. The 11gr H&N were awful, going way too fast. The 14 grain slugs fell out of the barrel and are unusable. The NSA 18 grain slugs were shooting a 3-inch group at 30 yards before powder coating them. After 2 coats of powder coat the best group was .590ctc at 30yd with 30fpe. So, it worked and I think I will try a 3rd coat just to see what happens. The 15gr pellets would do much better with some tunning but I was tunning more for the 18gr slugs. I guess now I will want to try the Zan 20gr. So now I have a .20, .22, and .25 barrels for this gun, guess I will have to get a .177 someday for it just because. This is still my favorite gun to play with, even more fun with a Condor tank on it.

Smart ideaNext time I will try to use a plastic shrimp deveining tool or a nylon Oring pick to seat the 14grain slugs into the barrel farther to engage the rifling without marring the barrel, so they don't fall back out and maybe I will get them to group.
Happy visit to Omaha, great time to visit the zoo!On the road, which is keeping momentum from trigger time. But... I reached out to Mike Tiehen of AGM/TKO, since I am back in Omaha for the first time in 30 years. Maybe I'll get a quick hey with him tomorrow, or I'll at least get memories for what I hope is not another 30 years. Shoot straight and stay safe all.

I feel your pain. We had another 1.5” of rain this morning and I went out and shot for about two hours and only managed 54 shots. It was miserable, hot and 98% humidity. Lots of bugs. I couldn’t hack it. We’ve been in drought conditions, so I can’t complain too much. I tried to shoot a 50yd ELEY card and only managed the first five targets and gave up lol.just getting frustrated with the weather
the ground is wet cant take the golf cart out without rutting the ground. the sun comes out but then the next round of showers comes through and back to square one
wind and rain can sure spoil a good days shooting, i got 11 tins of pellets to try and just cant get to the range i want to zero at to put out targets so just hitting tin for fun
We've had stormy (thunder lightening) weather the last four days but it's over as of today. One day the water was coming off the roof so hard it looked like a waterfall (we don't use roof gutters in this country).just getting frustrated with the weather

If you have a wind gauge you can blow a 2 mph wind blowing about as bard maby a hair harder than you blow in your girlfriend’s ear! Its amazing how many people don’t get that and a 2 mph wind 90* to pellet path will move a 18 gr 1.3” at 50 and 5.1@100!We had very minimal wind movement this morning so I took advantage and fired three rifles. 90-shots total.
Barra 250z .22 stock barrel, with AEA 21.9s at 950fps
Reximex Daystar .22 with AEA 18.3s at 890fps
Falcon FN19, single shot .22 with AEA 15.9s at 890fps
So rewarding to shoot these rifles as they all shoot exceptionally well!
Using wind flags and waiting for lulls in the wind gives the most satisfying groups! If a shot lands out of the group, a quick glance at the flags shows a wind change that was missed and also proves the shot placement. Folks that don't use wind flags on their 'home range' can not possibly see/feel those very minor wind movements that push pellets out of the group. It takes just the lightest wind to move pellets a noticeable amount.
I think failure to recognize day-to-day minor wind differences is why some folks claim their rifle's zero, or POI changes, when the POI hasn't really changed at all. That's just my opinion, no offense meant to anyone who disagrees.
