Today we’ll look at Weihrauch at IWA 2026, together with FX Airguns. Both of these European manufacturers have an important part in the show, as well as the overall airgun market, of course.
They are also an interesting comparison in business and product strategy. Weihrauch was proudly showcasing the 75th anniversary edition of its classic HW35. Yes, this gun has been in production – with subtle on-going upgrades – for no less than 75 years!
That’s Felix Weihrauch in our photographs showing us this “Jubilee model”. By the way, this gun is serial number 001 of a special production run of just 600 examples. The finish is mirror-perfect, making it difficult to photograph without reflections…
Felix confirmed to me that every one of those 600 air rifles is already sold by them to country distributors and dealers. So – if you want one – you will need to be quick when they become available in your country!
These are a follow-on to the highly-collectible 1899 Jubilee series models Weihrauch produced in 2024 to celebrate the company’s 125th anniversary.
The HW35, Edition 75, is supplied complete with sling swivels and a classic stitched, tooled leather sling. It also comes with a delightful retro-style advertising sign that everyone will want for their collection.
There’s also a gold trigger blade and the gun is manufactured in .177 and .22 calibers.
As always, Weihrauch had their full range of products on display at the show.
The other big news is that the new HW 100X improvements are being applied to ALL HW100 models, including the bullpups. This is different from my initial understanding that the “X” changes would be limited to just a few models. Apologies for my previous mis-understanding!
The proof was all over this display wall. But note that the HW110 is unchanged.
Felix showed me the beautiful laminated stock of the full-length HW100X…
… together with the M-LOK slots incorporated into the forend. Altogether a beautiful new model with useful performance improvements due to a larger, higher-pressure (and lighter) HPA tube and enhanced regulator.
Not far away from Weihrauch, I found the FX Airguns/Elements Optics booth.
There Mathias Vangilbergen showed me the latest FX Dynamic Mark II Benchmark model. It’s tailor-made for long-range benchrest shooting.
There’s a modified front stock design with improved anchoring to the receiver.
Plus a new Panthera version with similar changes.
Plus, there’s a new diminutive FX Pocket Chronograph D1. As you can see below, a radar chrony can’t get very much smaller than that!
Meanwhile, the Impact M4 is still around…
So that’s the news from Weihrauch at IWA 2026, together with FX Airguns. There’s a lot more airgun news to come from the show. Keep watching for more updates to come…
