KalibrGun Brocock Sonoran or Kalibrgun Snipe 2

I am a huge fan of the ghost (There are 5 at the house and the wife has 3 of them) They do need tuned for the pellet you want to use. They are not hard to tune, but it can take time to get the right tune you want for the group you want.

The Sonoran, when I got it, was sending 45's at 905 and 50's at 860. I slowed down the 45's to about 895-900 and it is a tack driver at 100 yards, if and when I do my part. The rifle will shoot pellets and slugs both very well because of the 1-26 twist barrel.

The rifle is light, easy to handle and shoots like a dream. I have never had an issue with the Sonoran.

The other person to reach out to is Derrick @zx10wall he is a master on the Kalibur guns.

Thumbs up on @Pesty3782s advice to call Derrick!

I have a Sonoran now and I had a Cricket II 60 in .25. To me, the Sonoran for the weight would be better carrying around in the woods although it is longer for in brush hunting. Both are more accurate than me. The Kalibrgun had a much higher shot count than the Sonoran. Both are built like tanks. But with the Sonoran on sale at AoA for $1695 now, I might let my wallet do the talking!

I am looking at purchasing my first PCP and I think, after a lot of reading and video watching, I think I've got it narrowed down to the BRK Sonoran or Kalibrgun snipe 2 in 30 cal. I would really appreciate any advice from anyone with experience with these two pcps. I am mainly interested in plinking and the removal of coyotes and coons that are a constant nuisance from my wife's crazy chicken addiction. I am a newbie to this and find this air gun world very amazing at where it is at these days.
As an owner of a newer kalibrgun (cricket 2 tactical in .25) and a long time admirer of brocock sniper xr in laminate, i think the consideration should come down to air supply not ammo cost. And by that i mean, the consumption of a .30 is quite a bit more than what is needed for .25. Both calibres can take out a coyote.

So the question becomes, how frequent are you wanting/capable of refilling??

That's what I'm starting to consider. The longer I go on in my indecision the more I'm considering the .25 vs the .30.

Both good rifles, but you have to consider the RAW 30 cal Mini Hunter. A well established design and made in USA. Price is competitive with the others as well. Magazines are cheaper too. Another consideration is the FX Wildcat MK3. I have a VP in .25 caliber which shoots better than many custom rimfire BR guns. Good shot count, easy tuning and a great value.

Different purposes betwixt those two rifles. To me, the Sonoron is a hunter through and through. The Snipe is more bench or off sticks. Sonoron is walking and stalking.

I try to stay out opinions since I'm more biased than the average Joe. But yeah if you ever want call and I'll give you my 💬 critiques. Both are proper good

Kind regards, Tristan

I looked at the ghost at well. It looks like a solid offering as well. For some reason I am drawn toward the Sonoran which I would get the power upgrade with the bigger bottle if I pull the trigger on it. I just happened to run across that Snipe 2 with the holding stock and it looks like a great option as well. I always do this to myself. I look and research everything into the ground before making a decision. Some call it being thorough others call it insanity.
Not Insanity my friend, just falling down the rabbit hole man!

I have the Brocock Sniper XR Mag in .25 cal. and I had AOA do the power tune like the Sonoran, it is a very accurate gun to shoot, I am sending 33.95 grain pellets at 949.5 FPS with 67.9 FT-LB
My Sonoran loves the 49.5 grain Howler Slugs; they are running 866 FPS and 82.4 FT-LB
for Coyotes my pic is the Sonoran, as it is very accurate like @Pesty3782 said.

Now if you want to have the best and most versatile gun get a Ghost with a 30. Cal Sub MOA barrel, mine is tuned to shoot the 49.5 grain Howlers at 972 FPS and 103.9 FT-LB, that will put the thump on a Coyote!!

Good luck on you decision!
