What'cha doing air gun related today?

Great head shot at that distance! Lights out for this guy.
The exit wound on the other side isn’t horrible but is huge. The 52gr is definitely expanding but the difference in power between the .25 cal 250z and .30 EQ is very noticeable.

I feel blessed to have two really accurate hunting options. I haven’t fully stretched the legs of the EQ yet but once I find the slug(s) I like best 150-200y won’t be an issue for this thing.

These freaking guns are just too much fun to shoot! Gonna have to make a trip up the mountain soon and whack some whistle pigs (marmots).. I’d like to see how a 65gr boattail does at 200y.. for science!

Bought this wagon for 101 uses, and one of them is for my pellet trap. Sure will beat lugging the trap around and setting it up at different distances when shooting. It slipped off instantly so I whipped up a tailgate/trap holder to keep it in place with scrap lumber. Then i cut some cardboard for my pellet tester for my .177 guns.

Brilliant. I should have thought of that decades ago

I haven’t shot the Marauder pistols for a minute. So I did a little early morning plinking. This one shoots the CPHP pretty well.
My wife who’s Chinese gets these milk cans that my daughters like to drink for the local Asian grocery market. The cartoon dudes nose makes for a nice poa. First two shots of the day and I drilled these two cans off hand at 20 yards. Pretty satisfying since I haven’t shot this gun for a while.

Unbolted the back end of the ghost and gave it, along with the Magpul buttstock to my dad (machinist) to make an adapter for it. While that's happening I may geek out while waiting and trim the rear trigger spring and polish the hammer spring. It sure cocks easy without the hammer spring installed...like butter😅 I dont dislike the Brk/Form version its just mighty pricey once you factor in the exchange and shipping🤑

Shot up the cardboard in the trap I made with 3 .177 springers.
Took alot longer to cut it all and stuff it in there then to shoot it😅
-The 550fps slavia went through 11 sheets (surprised me!)
-Diana 350mag went through 19 sheets,
-TX200 did 17 sheets.
All crosman pointed and H.P. pellets @15Y. On average the pointed pellets went through 2 more sheets each than the H.P. ones did. I thought this was neat....2 pellets fired from the TX stopped in the exact same spot. The pellet heads survived fine but the skirts were mangled🧐

Last week a fellow airgunner reached out and asked me if I would be willing to test out a picatinny trigger guard for the EQ and of course I nearly broke my fingers typing “hell yes!” But I got it in the mail yesterday and got it installed. I’m waiting to my picatinny to arca adapter to show up in the mail but so far I’m really impressed. At bare minimum the machining is excellent.

Lots of testing to come but already it’s really nice to have that sturdy platform to rest the gun on. I also kinda like the color. Almost wanna see if I can rattle can the cheek rest to match.

Bullshark 177 work completed throughout the week.
-Set Reg to 120 bar, adjusted hammer spring to reg. FX 13.4gr are going 865 fps.
-Installed OHunt Rings and mounted a Veyron 10x

PP750 177 project
-Tried every 8mm foster fitting from amazon on aliexpress. None hold. Giving up on the short reg I had Wes make for me for now.
-Ordered a Dream Notos reg from Haji. Its longer, but I like using my Sumo with this rifle so the dream notos reg won't extend past that.
-Removed the Veyron 10x and mounted a Veyron 3-12

Picked it up today.
Seller messed up and I had to get it via FFL.
Local FFL, Larry Hambly, 9th degree black belt in 2 forms. 79 years old and still competes.

Have absolutely no need for a .357.
Was a $0.01 opening bid on Gunbroker.com
So i threw a ridiculous bid at it. It held up.

No leaks.

Came with
Case
UTG Accushot 4-16 scope
230 pellets.
Benjamin eXTREME 145gr (30)
JSB 81.O2 gr (200)

I added an STO MUS II moderator

Put 3 145gr down range
750fps 180fpe
Moderator works great.
Action is VERY loud.
Dont know if im even going to sight this beast in.20250822_164552.webp20250822_164456.webp
