Hi all

Once again, it has occurred to me that there is more to the tapestry of Diana springers than I know.

Thank you for that, Mayer & Grammelspacher!

Clearly, they were far more active in product development and market introductions than, say, Weihrauch has been. I'm not damning HW for that, just appreciating the broad (& expensive) approach that Diana took. Because of that, there are many facets to the gem that is Diana.

I will have to get a copy of Walter's "The Airgun Book", but I've never heard of a book whice specifically catalogs the many different models of the Diana, their complete lineup and their assorted backstories, though I will hunt for one. That is a reference book any Diana lover would love to have.

In the meantime, what are some of your lesser known or seen Diana's?
I'd love to see some pics and info posted here, for all to enjoy.

Thanks in advance!

Halo there, I use Diana more than 30 year , great with quality ,It lives with you forever, because of the materials it is made of. I will show you the last one I buy is Diana 56 very strong and you, Feel the sense of luxury and power

Farmplinker, may I recommend a few?

For an HW30-esque experience, try a Diana 27. Mine is a .22, and is all kinds of fun, great for kids and adults, and would be some serious defense for your bird feeders, should you need it. 😉

For HW95 sized fun, a Diana 34 or 36 (better stock) is your partner. I've been happily shooting mine out to 100 yards and I'm waaay out of practice.

The 460 is probably their best underlever (if not, I'd say its the early Model 50 but the 46 is awfully nice too), and the sidelever guns (48 & 52, and the 54 Air King) are almost unique. Compared to the FWB sidelevers, they are 3x as powerful and nearly as accurate. The 54 probably is as accurate. And shoots much flatter.

The T05 triggers are better than people give them credit for, but the T06 is the best Diana trigger that I know of. As good as a Rekord IMO.

My cousin gave me my first airgun in 1972: Diana Mod 2 pistol. My dad brought home a brand new Diana 36 rifle and a mod 6 recoiless pistol in 1973/74. I still have the 36 and my brother has the mod 6. In 1984 I discovered the Air Force security police had an airgun range complete with mod 34’s in Keflavik Iceland and allowed me to shoot with them. I quickly purchased a FWB 300s to be more competitive - best springer I ever owned. About 15 years ago I purchased a model 48 and I still shoot it once in awhile. I always wanted a Mod 75.

Bills, you have had some fine springers in your life!

I don't have a 75, but I do have a 65 that needs to go to David Slade.
I suggest that you find one and get it to him before he retires or something. 👍

Wow. That's terrible!

You and I should talk about this. I'd hate to think it's become a parts donor!

Have been considering a 48 or 460 for a while, glad you love them.

I think I have had three spinners and never had one I felt was acurate. ?

It's you sir, not the Diana. Shooting nearly any break barrel accurately is almost a black art. Technique including hold, breath control, recoil anticipation, proper pellets and fatigue are all exaggerated with break barrels. Magnums are even more difficult to shoot, but satisfaction mastering to shoot one accurately is sublime. Nearly anyone can shoot a PCP accurately, hence their popularity, but only, in my opinion, a true Marksman can master a springer.
