Will I got my Notos in, This has to be the most fowled barrel I have ever come across, I ran patches throught it with Ballistol for about an hour, I had a big pile of dirty patches ,,,Never did get it 100% clean.. The notos magazine jamed 1st shot, I have some Carm 750 magazines and they jamed after a few shots,,, I put a Monstrum 3x30 compact prism scope on it
It shot pretty good for a cheap 3 -400 dollar gun, I do think my PP750 will out shoot it easy, I like it feels light and quick to the eye, 30 yard groups are OK not good or great, Crosman 14.3 hollow point all I tried , Good enough for I want,,, Ordered some 11 shot magazines off Ebay said they would stop the jam of the pellets .
I could see where the probe hit the outer edge of the pellet, Anyone tried to put a small heat shrink tube on the end of the probe???? Yes I read all the stuff about how the probe pushes the pellet on its side..I bought a trigger kit but I got to get this pellet jam fixed, I can't believe Notos has sold this many gun in a few years its been out with a big jam problem... The adjustment on the magazine did noting for me...

Yes for what it is,,, I fixed it not sure how long it will last, The probe is loose it has a lot of movement , I cut and put a small peace of shrink tubing on the end of the probe, Just tested it out with about 20 shots so far so good.. Seems like some one with the machines would make a better probe,, or should I just send the gun back???
I had PA do the leak test should have had them do the 10 for 10 test, I have not installed the trigger kit , but the trigger is not that bad, Its not that good , But not bad,,, for what it is , LOL.

@mike56 The gunk you’re describing in the barrel seems pretty typical for mass produced airguns coming from overseas. I believe that it’s a type of grease meant to prevent rust during shipping and while in storage until sold. I’ve had several like that. Some I cleaned, others I didn’t. It takes a while to get a lot of that stuff out and what you’re describing isn’t unusual. No you used the word “fowled” to which I’m assume your talking about lead fouling. Did you also see lead in the patches? If so, was this a used gun?

My mags wouldn't cycle properly either so i ordered some Maple Products 15 shot mega mags and solved all issues. Smooth and reliable. I threw the original Notos mags in a parts drawer never to be seen or used again. Shame on Umarex for not getting this common problem fixed after selling this rifle going on three years now?

It was new gun from PA . Maybe wrong word fowled, No lead on patches I have cleaned a lot of barrels but never one this dirty, I should have taken a picture,

@mike56 I’ve always considered fouling as a product of lead, copper, or carbon deposits from combustion. Maybe I was mistaken in doing so. I think this grease is typical in many new guns that are mass produced. I’m sure I have a thread or two buried on another forum with a pile of used patches after similarly cleaning a new barrel. It happens. I doubt that the rust preventative is evenly applied at the assembly plant. Some guy may have gotten distracted by a nice rack or something and squeezed too much in a few barrels. I mean who really knows? It’s better than recovering a rusty barrel. Now your mag jamming or gun shooting like 💩 are different issues that I am not qualified to speak on because I don’t own a Notos.

The factory where multiple pcp airguns are made just doesn't want the barrels rusting internally on the slow boat ride across the saltwater sea in the shipping containers. I've had many different brands of pcp rifles and some of them seem like you will never get them clean running as many as 50 patches with cleaner through the barrel and sometimes it seems like it will never end!

What do you expect from a cheap gun?
Yea , Its fun to shoot a cheap gun accurate, And if you miss its just that cheap gun,, It also shoots cheap Crosman pellets, Just wonder why my expensive guns don't like cheap pellets? Well take that back my two Mutants not cheap but not expensive shoots just about any 22 pellets well,,,

Send it back! Mine has shot perfect from day 1, no jams at all with factory mags or the aftermarket. They all work perfectly

I have read lots of Probs with Umarex Mags, I have had No problems with my Jts, Avenger, or Stoeger Mags. I love the JTS and they can work in the Avenger. The Avenger got stolen, so I have plenty of Mags for the Jts now. lol
That sucks about your avenger being stolen. I have one in .25, and love it. Everything from squirrels to one coyote and a pack of trash pandas have already fallen to it.
How do you like the JTS? I have been wanting one pretty bad, but decided to go with an air force Condor, and yesterday bought the Escape SS.

I love the JTS. I have the Standard non Reg. I have not shot it in a few months waiting on weather, but in 4 Months it is right where I left its charge. The Stoeger however despite no adjustments, It loses air. I am disappointed. It's a slow leak, but still. It shouldn't Happen.

I've had my Notos out to the range about a half dozen times now.
My only issue was trying to get used to inserting the magazine. that and running cheap pellets in the mag did not turn out well.
Otherwise its been fine.
