1100Z Trigger safety lever is missing

Believe me when I tell you that I understand your frustration. I also have had to deal with defective Airgun issues as well. I have had problems from dealers and from the manufacture.

You obviously know they received it. Counting down the hours isn’t going help your situation.

I learned the hard way, the guys on here will tell you “two airguns is one and one is none”.

Brother, I am telling you that is the gospel! Just the nature of this hobby of not being able to go to the local “Airgun Quickie Mart” and pick one up or some parts for it, if you don’t happen to live by a dealer sucks.

I have been in that situation when my Umarex Origin broke, and I will never be in that position again.

Hey, you’re already in this deep might as well go all the way as crazy as that sounds.

PA has a great return policy, I know. It varies by air gun the better ones have a longer return window.

Find something else to look forward to and take your mind off of this.

Ask yourself, if I didn’t buy the Barra or what I know now what would I have purchased? and do it.

The Barra will work its self out.
That's the thing, yes I am upset and I guess that I'm more up set because there was nothing wrong with the rifle's function except for the no safety lever, I held air fine, it fired fine, it was very accurate. I would still be using the rifle if it were not for the customer service person not having the correct information. So it's going to be at least 5 more days till I get to use it. I'm hoping and praying that there is nothing wrong with the gun they send me.

With what you’re saying in mind, I hope that they repair it and not just replace it. Especially if everything else was fine.

In a way I hope the install the safety lever and return what I know was a good shooting rifle and on the other hand a new one. But a new one might not be as good as what I had. I didn't give it thought until you said something. When they did give me the option after the fact, she told me that they did not have the lever in stock but they could maybe take one off a returned rifle. I'll be able to tell if its a new one by the serial number, They had me take a picture of the serial number and the trigger area with the missing lever. You know what, Thank you. Your one sentence reply made me feel better and now I am hoping they do return my original rifle. Will let you know when I get it. hopefully by the end of the week.

@flyfisher here’s a very good opportunity right here.

It does seem like a good deal but after spending $850 on my first PCP setup I would not be able to afford The $450 for that avenger deal till later in the year. I would have to have the tank filled somewhere. Also the avenger is a 25 cal. and I would have to invest more money in pellets. I do appreciate you pointing out that deal to me.

I understand you’ve gotta stay strong. This hobby is filled with pitfall rabbit holes that you will never find a way out of.

I like finding good deals. I enjoy looking at the used Airguns from different dealers and the classified sections. I’m always on the hunt for value.

Well my rifle finally got here about 30 minutes ago. Now I'm a happy camper. They did give me a brand new rifle, They did not just put the safety lever on the one that I sent back and ship it back to me. I filled it with air (took two separate pumps, first took it to 1500psi and stopped there, bled the line then it pumped it to 3000psi) I have to go away for about 2 hours so I'll see if it holds air. I'm guessing that it took twice to fill because the rifle was cold from being in the UPS truck. When I get home, the rifle should be room temp. I'm going to degas it and make sure it pumps up in one shot. I do know the gauge on this new rifle reads higher than the one I sent back. The one I sent back the gauge matched the compressor exactly. This new one is about 1-200psi higher.

Glad to hear things are working-out with Barra.

Yes, these small pressure gauges can be a little inconsistent on a copy-to-copy basis. So far as I'm aware, only Umarex deals with this issue head-on. They state in their user guides that gauges on PCP air rifles may vary by plus or minus 10% from the true value. That's a lot!

Well after setting for 2 hours with full pressure, it did hold the pressure. I degassed it, Then tried to fill it again. Once again, it only filled it half way. Shut off the compressor, blead the air in the line and started the compressor and it filled it the rest of the way. I bought the Rovair compressor new and it has been used about 10 or 12 times with a riffle that was returned to Barra. That rifle would fill in on shot. Can any one tell me why the new, same model rifle needs to be filled in two compressor runs? Is there a break in period for filling the riffle?I don't remember this happening with the returned rifle. I do remember that a complete fill took longer on the first fill, then after that time got the time got shorter.

Ok, just to let every on know, the rifle is now pumping to 3000psi in one shot. I remembered reading about cocking the rifle and leaving the breach open so this morning I did that and it reached 3000psi in one shot and did it in 3:13 seconds. Got curious and degassed it and did not cock it. It took 13 seconds longer to reach 3000. I'm a happy camper now. Maybe it just needed an over night rest to reach room temp. I don't know but it doesn't matter now All is good. The 1100z in .22 is supposed to be delivered today, I'm excited about that
