Agreed, the HP3 is top of the line, construction is beautiful and the valves are smooth and easy to turn. Plus the HP3 is low profile and fits into tank bags with no issue.

2nd Nothing is mentioned if their is a Flow Restrictor in the HP3 Valve or in the 1 meter hose, fittings?

The hose is proprietary and the quick connect fittings have removable flow restriction by using or removing a set screw. The valve itself is not restricted, which is necessary for refilling.

slightly crack open very slowly and the fill gauge goes from 100-300 bar in the blink of an eye
sending this 2nd one back and buying air venturi

You buy a cheap one off Amazon for 70 bucks and you can control the air and watch the gauge creep slowly
Spend all the money for the latest greatest and there JUNK! 2 in 2 weeks

Sorry to be so new to filling with bottles. I don't even have a bottle but my shooting buddy has one large one. I am asking these questions to help him decide if he wants a new valve for the preowned bottle he bought and uses.
When filling his tube gun it only takes a instance to fill. His bottle on the Texan works a bit better. (slower)

My question to you is are you using the removable orifice that AOA said above comes with the Foster connector or not? If your set up has the restriction and you are still getting instananeous fill then possibly AOA could suggest something else. What I am trying to understand is, is the problem the valve or the Foster with orifice connector.

@rabbithole I appreciate your input here. I think that a valve should be something an airgunner purchases once, maybe twice in the life of a SCBA tank. To be clear here, Air Venturi Jubilee SCBA tank valves don't scream "high quality" to me. They feel pretty basic. I have multiple Jubilee valves and they are not slow flow valves. You have to get a feel for the valve and incrementally manually manipulate the knob that opens the valve to control the flow of air on a fill. But mine have worked ok over the past few years. The only thing that has given me an issue is the plastic seat withing the pressure relief vavle that bleeds the fill whip.

I have zero experience with the HP3 valve. Joe Broncato sells SCBA tank valves with dual gauges on them that I've read others tout as being a good SCBA valve. They come on his Great White tanks to my understanding. I'm not sure of the pricepoint. Maybe owners of those valves and others that are easy to manipulate or actually have a slow flow feature can chime in here so other members and readers are aware of alternative options in order to purchase and obtain exactly what they feel that they need. I think this would be a good metric to determine what is "simply the best" valve for SCBA tanks use for filling air guns. Respectfully speaking, I am of the opinion that the users should be the ones to assign the value of "the best" to a product, not the manufacturer, distributer, or retailer.

Sorry guys, I've been looking into getting a scba bottle and valve but currently at home I run 3 compressors, a just replaced by the distributor a GX-CS4, and two Orcair Thunders I alternate continuously for extended lifespan. Going to the woods or hunting or on a permission compressors scare off everything within a half mile due to the extreme noise while filling. So I'm getting a bottle setup next as I'm full up on everything else, guns, pellets, compressors, etc. so any suggestions on a reasonably priced setup that's reliable would be appreciated! Weather is going to be amazing tomorrow like 70 degrees so going to get out and shoot all I can as by Tuesday or Wednesday it's supposed to be in the 20s. Happy shooting!
