Exclusive Announcement – New JSB Jumbo Monster Light Pellets Coming Soon

Here’s an exclusive Hard Air Magazine announcement! There’s another type of JSB pellet coming very soon. New JSB Jumbo Monster Light Pellets are announced here for the first time.

They’re new – in fact so new that they may not even be shown at the SHOT Show that starts tomorrow!

These Jumbo Monster Light pellets are manufactured in .22 caliber. The Czech firm has taken the opportunity to introduce a new 20.82 Grain version of the Jumbo Monster.

That makes them somewhat lighter than the traditional 25.39 Grain Jumbo Monsters that are familiar to so many PCP air rifle shooters. Yet they bridge the gap from the 18.13 Grain JSB Jumbo Heavy pellets for those looking for an intermediate weight.

That makes Jumbo Monster Lights an addition to the range you read about recently in HAM with the launch of the Jumbo Monster Grands.

HAM has no information yet about pricing. However we believe that availability will be around mid-March 2024. Yes, that soon!

Hard Air Magazine Publisher Stephen Archer will be meeting-up with folk from both JSB and Predator International, the US distributors at the 2024 SHOT Show in Las Vegas during the next couple of days. JSB is aware of some of the new screw tins having problems. They have moved to a new supplier of tins. A good tin is certainly a requirement for high end airgun pellets like JSB. Our apologies.

The fact that you participate in a positive manner when there are even some "negative" connotations toward a product or portion of a product you put out there is just awesome!

Cannot say the same about some of the other ammo vendors out there that have participated here.

Every tin I have dumped was already open. I’m careful until I’m messing around on the bench. I left a tin on my bench and a wind event knocked my canopy and table over spilling a new tin. Those are going to be rinsed and put through the ultrasonic cleaner. The storm blew sand on them. I should probably just trash them.

These are the good JSB tins......only started seeing them in the last 18ish months.

They aren't a full thread, but just enough to hold the lid down. Full threaded tins (from other manufacturers) are a pain, they get cross threaded far too easy.

My favorite factory tin are these right here.

No need to pry, gently rotate (not even a quarter turn) and they open right up. Once I figured that out I was mighty pleased with them, try to pull the lid off without turning and, yeah, pellets could go flying.

thats the tin we got the 18 gr pellets for the wife in. i would call a twist lock and although its easier to open its the same tin that has spilled out two or three tims in the wifes gun case. : (

Yeah, everybody eventually butterfingers a problem tin. If I identfy a problem tin these days, the pellets go into another used tin, real fast. It's only funny when happening to somebody else, and even then it's not that funny, it does suck, and these days, I leave them. It's not worth scoring a bore.

13.54-58 gr, 15 pellets, (1) 4.49mm, (1) 4.50, (5) 4.51, (8) 4.52mm
Going to keep sorting for a while yet but I have at least (8) to see how “tight” they will group tomorrow

Label on the bottom of the tin states... "4.52mm" ; right now its trending 60% 4.52 and 40% 4.51 ...probably why AoA doesn't attempt/want to inventory head size sorted pellets ...

The 21 gr JSB should be interesting, I see that frequently the 21.14 gr Baracuda H&N do well in 22 cal rifle tests. I would pick up a can to see, assuming the price isn’t stratospheric…
