What'cha doing air gun related today?

Last edited:
Shot at 25 yards and scoped in the Notos, liberty .177 and Max 1. The Max 1 is hole in hole with Jsb mk2 33.95 if I do my part, Notos is close especially with the Norma heavys. My shot count is 10 less with out the "super plenum" on the Notos with the hammer spring at the same spot. Shot about 100 shots from the ground.

I received a torque wrench for scope parts and such, I realized I was very loose on some of my scope rings but I didn't want to ruin any of them so that's good. Happy Sunday everyone!

Edit: I don't feel like my Notos is "in tune", I understand when people on here have talked about it. I understand why people bottle convert. The convenience of being able to adjust the Reg externally would be nice. And time!!

I went down one size with my Top Hat on the .22 Condor Slug Barrel gun to slow it down and shot a bunch of different .22 pellets. The H&N hornets, JSBs, and Barracudas did well but the .25 grain Monster Hades shot the best, looked like about 3/8s group at 30 yards. I took the moderator off to see if it would shift and it did about a half inch up and right. The only slugs that have done anything are the H&N 36 grain, but the pellets did better so I think I will try to fine tune it for the 25 grain .22 Hades the next time I shoot it.

After taking my dogs for an early (while it's cool out) walk through the forest I fired 80-shots through my Daystar. I can't brag enough about how accurate that rifle is!

Also, pulled the scope off my Uragan 2.

I have four Riton scopes and really like the clarity and simple reticles on many of the Riton scopes. However, the Riton I have on the U2 is fairly new and I haven't felt like the scope can focus as well as it should. I contacted Riton and they said send it in, no questions ask. So, today I have to get it boxed-up and sent back to Riton.

My Matts .357 slugs came in so I did a little shooting with the Bulldog before it got to hot. The 3rd shot gets a bit wonkey with the heavier ones without turning up the power which I will not do because JSB 81 grain pellets are lights out at 1021fps and I do not want to mess that up. I only need 2 good shots anyway. At 30 I was shooting at old .25 targets so there are extra holes. I was shooting off sandbags. I was using a 1X10x scope. I think for the first 2 shots at 30 and 50 yards the 159 grain HP did the best. These all fit in the magazine without any problem. The more I use this gun the better I like it. I will do a lot more testing when the weather cools down.

My youngest woke up asking to go shoot today. Morning shoot didn't happen this time, but this evening when I attempted to shoot nerf with him he let me know we were getting dressed and going outside to shoot real gun at paper. So we selected the Daisy 840 and my Time to Pump it Up Challenge target. Mini T did pretty good. 😍

I miss what you have. My kids now have there own families. Loved using the daisy on tin cans/water filled balloons with them. Enjoy your time with them it goes by fast.👍

Fired three of my five PCPs this morning. One rifle is down waiting on a barrel and another rifle is down as I sent the scope in for warranty.

I fired at life-size, color ground squirrel targets glued to my normal paper-plate targets. There was almost no wind early and it was fun making ragged-hole groups in the brain, neck and shoulder areas of the target squirrels!

Took the dogs for a walk after shooting and noticed young-of-the-year ground squirrels at three different den sites. I don't hunt the ground squirrels here around my place until the young are out and weened. That way I never run out of ground squirrels to hunt year after year.
