What'cha doing air gun related today?

Some times it's more fun the shots you don't take. I snuck in the hatsan blitz in the van on the road trip and the 13 year olds didn't waste time wasting pellets and air. They liked the Max 1 shooting 75 yards out as much. I'm glad I last minute threw my lil spiritech compressor in now. About 200 25 and 30 cal. pellets. Skunks about 500 yards away from the house around an old pond and bushes per my family the last few weeks and random racoons in a shed from time to time 100 feet away. No night vision but Ill wake up before light and see if I can't get one. Max 1 shooting 33.95 mk2s at 870-860 is pretty accurate from what the boys shot. Tomorrow I'll take some shots, maybe lol.

Definitely fun to share the joy. I love to shoot, but I'm just as happy to help ignite the passion in others and watch.

I made some new targets for fun and did a little tuning on the Zelos .25. I sited it in for JSB 33.95 at 30 yards, but I might change to the 25 grains. Didn't take too long before the heat drove me back inside.

Wife copied me off a few of PapaT's targets at work. We had a huge storm last night, and I fell day before yesterday, so I'm all stove up, but I got a new Avenger 2 in .22 I wanna shoot, and my hopped up and tricked out 2240 that's begging to be zeroed and shot, so, think I gonna give a couple of these challenge targets a go at 10 and 35 yards.....If I can anyway.

Like those targets Chief! Rat blasting, at least the bushy tailed variety, is my favorite hobby. Today though, not so much. I got everything all set up in the shade to try to do a little shooting, even had a bushy tailed grey trapped in the tree I set up under. Couldn't do it. The beast got lucky.

I got a N/V scope,Triton Gen2-Yes it is a basic low price-but I was surprised when I took it out to see how it worked
total dark, power on lowest setting, and not mounted, it lit up the whole area just like daylight
I think on my Thumper it will make a great critter gun, and take pictures and video just for fun
scope has picatinny mount, but rounded pic. on thumper wont let scope settle down in groves
any suggestions????? I hate the thought of taking a file to square slots on gun

Another afternoon of shooting after swimming and floating some of the Buffalo River, assembled the Liberty and moved the target to 50 yards. The fresh high school grad decided she wanted to shoot and everyone got a turn at all 3. The Liberty kept having random shot one every 12-15 shots with the jsb 16.2s. It shot accurate to 50outside of that. Tomorrow I'm going to shoot the jsb 10.03s. see if I can find a good speed. The max 1 seems to never have a bad day, my favorite of all my rifles. The Hatsan Blitz made the young lady giggle when she shot it full auto, everyone laughed. Better start the compressor tomorrow morning! Fun day.

Murf I just tried it on my 37y range so far, will let you know how it works at longer range
sitll figuring out the controls
just started when I had trouble keeping it on the gun when I realized my problem with pic rail

Despite the heat, I finally got some trigger time. Out into the sweltering 115 heat index I setup my range and began pellet and slug testing the Ascent. Both gun and I went through torture testing, and came out the other side ready to go again.

Tried again to shoot the new Avenger2 .22 . shot 7 Hades, knocked out 5 Starlings between 25-30ish yards using my tripod before I had to give it up. Getting old sucks! Healing up time to slow.

I haven't been on here as much recently as the wife and I have been out on the lakes/res. trout fishing.

Still 'exercising' my air rifles off the bench here at the house but nothing new to write about.

Nothing-I traded my BP2 and have 2 guns that malfunctioned at a gunsmith so i dont have anything to shoot -that is a bummer
the Thumper is fixed -just didnt trust shipping over a holiday weekend, so I should have it in a few days.
my trigger finger is going through withdrawal, may just have to pick my nose for practice hahahaha
waiting on my new Mk2 striker to come in-so if you can take a couple of shots for me I would appreciate it
