What'cha doing air gun related today?

Installed the handguard from evolve 3d for Max 1 rifle and it it's great quality. The 3d print band with grip around air cylinder and barrel shroud is smooth, matte and everything is clean. Everything fits well and it appears as something that could come from the factory set up. Great product and feels well built.

Not a lot. Filled the Sonoran and topped the tank up. I’m pretty sure I’m burning out. Mother Nature obviously thinks I need to throttle back on the airguns. Last week a pair of federally protected birds built a ground nest directly in front of my target stand at the 75yd point and are sitting on their eggs. Right in the middle of the yard, seems kind of crazy lol.

They want you to shoot anything that might bother them! 😂😂

I definitely see where “bird brains” comes from lol. I have a video with the DNT where a bluebird lands on the steel plate that I was shooting. Same thing happened again last week. I get a lot of birds, but never a starling, it’s like they know they’re not protected.

Started the day, and ended it, shooting about 215 yards with my Texan LSS CF and AGT Netvor (morning only) with some fellow airgunners. In the middle of all that, shot and shared my Pintys, Lieva, Crosman 130, and Crosman Vapor Max. Also shot Barra 250z, watched some amazing pellet stacking from a Whisper quiet M3, some Vulcan 3s, and some other FX guns. I got my Vapor Max sighted in dead nuts 20-30 yards with 6 pumps using H&N Baracuda 8s.

After watching 93 yard, off-hand shots from diana chaser pistol with open sights hit dead nuts grizzly bear target with repeatability, I decided to try with my Vapor Max. 10 pumps, Baracuda 8s, 4x32 scope, I hit kneeling with front arm rested on knee, from table off my rest, and then off-hand consistently. This was back to back shots my spotter watched that impressed him enough to think I could hit the target circle from that distance (I was aiming at the blue target circle 6" above, off-rest). Then consistently put pellets on bear from Daisy 880, standing, off tripod, Baracuda 8s, 10 pumps, pack in 4x15 scope.

Also some daisy lever action, including Tom Palmer customs, and some Marlin Lever Action. Most of that was from my kids on the trip, who also took 215 yard shots with my Texan. There is probably more I have forgotten about as well, what a fantastic day.

My notos factory regulator stopped working overnight. Blew my 3000 psi guage. I guess I'll have to learn how to repair it. Seems from Internet info there is an o ring that can become displaced. That's later today as I'm tearing my work area down and organizing on this soon to be snowy windy day. I have until Wednesday to prep for a trip where I can shoot as far as I can reach.

Working on the GX, looks to be the needle bearings require replacing.

I should probably get a whole rebuild kit for it too. I’ll see what GX and Target Forge have available.

Also looks like a bad electrical connection that I’ll need to rework.

I'm impressed that shaft uses needle bearings.

Well, I went out and shot my M357, the wind was 4 gusting to 17 almost constantly and I normally would not shoot when it is gusting so much as a big storm was coming but this was one of my main reasons for getting a .35. We have been getting a lot of wind for the last several months and I wanted something I could shoot even if the wind was blowing pretty hard without worrying about it.

This was my first time shooting it, so I only shot at 30 yards just to sight in the scope with JSB 81gr pellets. It did well and I was very happy with the way the emperor was working on it. Should not bother any of the neighbors. It is heavier than my other guns but that helps to steady it as well. I really enjoyed it. After I had shot a couple of clips of the JSBs I put in 81gr polymags to try one time before the storm got here. I was rushing because I didn't want my gear to get wet. I was very happy with them. This was 5 shots at 30 yards on a bench off sandbags. I thought I had missed the first shot, but it was dead center going 1042FPS-195FPE. I shot the JSBs starting at 1000FPS-179FPE with 2400PSI, but I filled it to about 2800PSI for the Polymags because that's about what I would be using if I was shooting slugs also. They didn't seem to mind too much. I zoomed in the scope more for the last two shots, don't know if that messed me up or not, anyway it's fun to shoot but expensive. Then again, I would not have been shooting a smaller caliber at all with the way the wind was blowing. It's not regulated so I guess I will have to adjust for a bit of drop after the 3rd shot.

Adjusted the regulator up on the Nova Liberty, shooting 21 gr H&N slugs at 970-960. I've extracted enough power until I can get a range day longer than my back yard. So I will put the stock back together ger her zeroed in until I can shoot 50 yards plus.(Damn this weather!!?!?!).
I have a few Nova Liberty.
They in the top 3 favorites.

How high did you adjust the regulator to get to that power?
Did you change the hammer spring, or increased preload (I am usingM6 washers)?

I took the valve and used a curved file and filed out the area after the poppet. It's real sharp and doesn't support smooth flow. I believe it helped open it up but the valve looks rough. I should have taken a picture. I'll have to find the leak or just install a new o-ring kit. Then I can shoot it down to see my regulator setting. I'm guessing 24-2500 psi. I purchased 2 heavy valve springs from alien Airwerks...he advertises on Facebook and am using the lighter of the 2. My last thought was to make or find a brass weight for the hammer spring. I bought one for my notos from c88 and it helped. The transfer port area from valve to port seems to be open to 80% when I fitted it with drill bits. I ported the barrel to 80%. Can't remember what bit size off the top of my head. That alien air werks specializes in avengers so he will work on the Liberty's.
