What'cha doing air gun related today?

Between heat and wind just about all i did was set up a card at 10m and adjust the R9's hinge bolt. It was a exciting 10-20 shots . Pretty much moring or afternoon shooting been a bust . So back in the AC sipping tea and trolling forums and gun shopping for a deal that aint there..lol
I wish I could learn more about my R9. I’m seeing if I can use it for piston class field & target. I zeroed it in at 25 yards, but around 40 yards or so on, I’m not consistent or accurate. Thoughts?

perfect practice makes perfect!!! Thats the main thing

Ya keep shooting , hold your mouth right, i like to keep a clean barrel 250+/- shots or if somthing starts looking funny ..lol

I aslo like clean pellets so i wash and rinse well and lube . Im no marksman but i think i do ok for a R9 on stock irons using crosman hollow points.

I started making 75y my more full time range using 2 to 3" bulls .. ( bean can, snuff can lids painted black or colored in circles with a broken crayon). I just rest the forend only on a old tee-shirt stuffed sock. But don't forget Rome was not built on a day .. i could not do all that new out of the box . The 3 "P's"

Practice
Patience &
Plenty of pellets ( well thats 4 p's i guess)

Then add your hold, trigger pull, and follow through

I have been getting frustrated. I needed to hear that, thank you.

One mo thing .. if your scoped got to make sure you got no movment. Wether the base, rings, or the rectical shifting from recoil.. a fraction of a % of a mm at the gun/ muzzle can be a inch down range .
Even using irons i had to do some tricks to firm them up from movment. Especially that hw front globe it's a constant fight even with all i do to stop it from walking back in its dovetail.. sooner or layer its back on the move🤤 ( german engineering & china pig metal 🥴)..lol. i start seeing odd poi shifts i start looking
..

Ol hw/R's. A guy got to shoot and finesse it right.

I will be at my private range doing some trimming and work 👍🙂 After I will do some more shooting and testing with the prototype barrel in my BRK Ghost .177 HP and also my Daystate Delta Wolf .177 HP 🙂🎯
I did my range "yard work" the other day. Just mow and tidy some. Pretty much brush hog the lane and roundup spray just around the racks to kill the grass for plain dirt like a 1 or 2 foot perimeter to easy pick up any spent pellets under the racks

It was funny i had under one so many i thought i wish i had a backpack shop vac to just hurry and suck them up .

I mounted one of my lower end scopes to do a group quick and funny it was 2" off right.. i was like ????. So moved it over got back on a decent zero for quick guess clicking shot a nice group. So i went changed the paper to shoot fresh but went in for a caffeine boost ( i need at least a pots worth to move).

So came back out to shoot and now the shots way left. I guess its become a self adjusting scope ( almost the same amount as it was at first right) .. so i guess it's now a it was good while it lasted scope getting the big silver sharpie "B" for bad and throwed on the junk pile ..

One thing is theres no substitute for a solid quality optic.. then i had a "good" one fail as well. Lol
