What'cha doing air gun related today?

I swapped scopes around. S200 gets a Sightron 36x so I can see what it can do at the 30YC.
Avanti Hunter gets the Veyron 10x. Temporary scope rings and adapters on there until some 30mm dovetail arrive tomorrow evening.
And my Notos plinker gets a cheap 4x china special scope. The scope will eventually go on a Stoeger S3000-C. I am just testing out some affordable options for people who ask me for a cheap rifle to shoot lizards in their backyard.

Both my CZ200's came with great 3d printed silencers, but I already had to fix one that cracked. I decided to run a DonnyFL adapter and Huma Mod 30 22 cal short moderator on the hunter, since it will get bumped around more often.

And I need to order a grip that conforms to my Notos, that was one I modified for the FX Maverick I sold.

I guess it was a good thing you had to take it apart. My old eyes uses one of these for my workbench. It’s great. View attachment 5321

You know, I think I might get me a pair of those I get metal splinters in my fingers when I’m working on my other hobby and trying to hold a magnifying glass and a pair of tweezers isn’t easy while trying to root around in your finger.

I use these at work when working in trace evidence or fingerprints on difficult surfaces

Popped the zero stop off the Helix and the ghost is now sighted in🥳 40-50 yards. Shot first, then did my chores weather was just too nice! Then brought out the S510 to do battle. Man are they different guns, S510 makes a nice crack (however less backyard friendly) while the ghost is all go and not as much show. Here is some cans I blasted after groups @ 50Y 30FPE vs the ghosts 55 at the muzzle (can on the right). As for the groups S510 is flat 20 to 40Y and drops almost an inch @50....Ghost group won by 1/4 of an inch. Surprised me!

@FL22
The rifle is easy to take apart. 2mm, 2.5mm, 3mm, and 4mm are required. The difficult part is those small E clips. They are only 2mm. I have a feeling the more I do it the better I will get, it’s just tedious. Have a backup clip. But it really comes apart easy.

I’m very interested in finding an older air rifle to take apart and rebuild something that’s worth the effort but at the same time if I mess it up, I’m not going to want to smack my head into a wall. For many years, my hobby has been muscle cars, well the muscle cars of my generation anyway. I’m a tinker by nature and I love to take things apart and rebuild them.

I've done the most with my Artemis (Snowpeak) PP700SA. It was a great gun to learn on. If you can find an old Diana Skyhawk or P15 that would be great. A used Gauntlet or original Avenger would also be great if the price is good.
