Break Barrel What is basic for the Weihrauch HW50S?

As posted on here earlier I recently bought a used HW50S fron AoA. It is a nice gun and accurate as I am. Neber having a break barrel before, I would like to know what should routine maintenance be performed? T

Love it, shoot it often, post up some groups on Ham, hit it with ballistol or something similar on a rag after shooting sessions and she'll last forever. If it's super twangy I'd pull it apart and regrease the spring but that's about it. Clean the barrel if accuracy dwindles, but with the lack of power it should be fine for a long time. Do you know if the gun has stock internals?

Thx for the information. I am amazed that it will group 2” at 50 yds. It was also knocking over coke bottles at 50 yds. It is not twangy. I made a special spinner target for it yesterday. The weather was rainy and too windy today.
It had a Williamstown Peep site on it when it came from AoA. That didn’t work for my 79 yr old eyes so a put a factory rear site on it. I bought this gun to teach my grandson to shoot. I think iron sights are best to start with but he is more interested in girls and trucks. So I put a red dot on it for me. The iron sights are still in place so when decides to shoot I will remove it.

If you keep it out of dusty, wind-driven dirty conditions, it should be OK for quite a long time with little to no maintenance. Just wipe it down with Ballistol, or a silicone cloth. Enjoy it, because if your grandson just got into trucks and girls, you most likely won't be seeing him for a while much. It's hard to compete with that!

Yep, a screw driver, silicone oil and a can of pellets.
Many good comments above. They are the most maintenance free of the Airguns I own.

I do pour my pellets out of the Tin on a paper towel, then put them back in. Get rid of much debris that way, depends on the brand. But why take a chance when it only takes a minute or 2.

You have chosen..... wisely.

I'm loving the one I bought from AoA (used) and the only issue I have is using the right scope mounts. My rifle has some pop.

I'm going to use a 17oz scope with BKL double strap rings. Right now, BKL single straps won't quite keep the scope locked down.

Test plenty of good quality pellets, and start.looking for more fun targets.
Maybe even a KYL....
