What did you buy/receive today?

The BSD .22 are delayed again, PA expected to have them in today but now it looks like the 21st.

So it looks like my big beautiful pellet order is in limbo again. I am completely out of ammo for my Taipan and only have about 50 mrds left for my Sniper.

Bad times….👎
In an emergency, such as yours, Amazon Prime next day. Yes, they pack terrible, but you can get a couple tins overnight.

This is why you want to buy a large enough amount to carry you. It's not that we are all stockpiling, we're planning for delays, not prepping for the end of the world. Plus you save money on shipping buying large. I always figure out how much I am likely to shoot in 18 months and buy that much, or none at all.

My usual for 22 and .25 is wait for Hatsan 20% off sale and load up on Barracuda and Barracuda Match.

.30 I wait for JTS or JSB to go on sale.

I agree with you for the most part but a few months ago maybe six I put in a very large order and every tin I have opened up so far the pellets are trash (JSB Hades .25).

Putting in a massive pellet order would have me concerned about receiving pellets where the dies were worn out.

Now I just put in an order for three months and rotate the pellets that I buy.

I still have plenty of ammo for my other Airguns 👍.

The only bad pellet packers, every time, is MidwayUSA, and Amazon. During COVID I actually received a terribly packed order from PA, but they are usually amongst the best, and are back to doing well. Trenier's or the Pellet Shop are good. I think that Utah Airguns could do better, I have had some smaller orders that were not wrapped well and I think that I just got lucky that they were not mishandled. For big orders, if you stay away from Amazon and MidwayUSA, you will usually do ok, that's the important thing to remember. Every time a new member shows up on the forums and says that they are waiting on their pellet order from one of the two jokers, I cringe.

The issue wasn’t the packaging that part was flawless.
The pellets themselves are very, very poor quality compared to previous batches that I have purchased.

Honestly I fear the same thing. Stocking up for me is having on hand a few tins of each guns favorite pellets. Maybe 1000 to 4000 pellets or up to 2 years supply. I open everything I recieve, shoot a few outta each tin and put em away with the tape seal back on till im shooting them. Anything good gets a "+" symbol on the bottom anything needing more testing or is clearly sub par gets a "-"..... Ie jsb 8.44gr that are labeled 4.52 but are looser in the bore and suffer miserable accuracy vs the actual 4.52 pellets.

Sorry I misunderstood, that is a whole other issue. I have heard of this happening but it hasn't happened to me yet. I guess we all just roll the dice sometimes. I wonder if anyone has been keeping tabs on when these bad lots happen and if they correlate to any season, holiday, or maintenance schedule. Hard to believe that such occurrences just manifest themselves.

No problem 👍.

In all fairness, what I need to do as well is post pictures of what I have. That way everyone can draw their own conclusions, I still have a few from another batch that I feel are good quality for comparison.

It’s possible that I may just be being very critical we can let the court of public opinion decide.

I’ll try to do it this weekend.

Don't ever let the court of public opinion be anything more than another singular data point, your own analysis and opinion are what you'll be living with. If you think they look like crap, after having looked at a lot of good tins, then they are crap.

To be honest the 5-25x56 BearSwift glass is as good. The adjustments and turrets on the Bearmight are better.

CVLife seems to have nailed the price : performance ratio. I cannot find a fault with either the BearSwift or BearMight scopes. A lot of scope for under $300. Sans tariffs the BearSwift is $150 shipped on Alibaba, out of stock currently.

Tomorrow the Discovery HD 5-30x56 scope on the HM1000x (if UPS delivers)
Well, UPS didn't deliver Tuesday but did on Wednesday. The rifle was clean and tight. No magazines so I ordered some from QD_Fox on Ebay. 9 boxes of FX hybrid slugs so the gun is probably tuned for them. Tried to fill with air. Yep, older gun probably been sitting for a long time leaks air. Started replacing all the orings and found a couple that I had to order off Amazon (13/16x11/16x1/16). Be here Friday. Tried some metric but still some very minor leakage. I could just use the metric for now but I'll wait for the magazines and orings.

Ordered plenum for my RAW HM1000x, turns out won't work on the moderated guns.

Finished sealing the gun up. While I was working on it I thought of a way to use the plenum. Pulled a Huben Power Dream Universal regulator off my Hatsan Bullmaster with a 1.1L bottle.

Connected the plenum to the Dream with some custom M18-1.5 male to male adapters I had made up.

Dream drops the bottle just under the Shroud. Had to add a shim the Dream needed another 1/16 to clear the stock.

4500psi/300 bar bottle (was 250bar)
Externally adjustable regulator (set at 2000psi)
60cc of combined plenum.

Need to make a support from Mlok rail to the dream.

Yep, as is my superpower, it now weighs as much as a boat anchor.
