You got a better story than mine homie!🤣🤣🤣🤣

I totally see what you were saying about distance using i.r.

Im going to be setting set distance 'stages', because now, I don't need the lights to see what I'm going for.

I definitely gotta get some dialing to go using the slugs, but the smack, yeah. 100% worth it. Had to turn down the regulator to stop the aggressiveness of the pass through. I think its thanks to just throwing in some 37 grain zans, and plinking. Totally sold on why people would want to hunt with these.
If you’re getting full pass through you might need to up the speed. I found that I got much better stopping power with a 31gr doing 970-980fps then a 35gr doing 915fps… FPE on paper can be misleading sometimes.

lol I consider myself an expert on hunting small game with the 250z. From March until a couple weeks when I sold it I took 8 or 9 different species with it. Almost all of them with slugs except a turkey…. My advice for anything smaller than a coyote is don’t worry so much about slug weight. As long as you’re above 30gr you’ll be fine I promise. I took a huge pregnant marmot at 81y with a 32gr Franco… the key for using slugs on small critters is speed. A 30gr doing 950-960fps will hit a dove so hard you’d think it got hit with a bottle rocket… but when you recover the body there will be no pass through and every bit of your fpe will be transfer to the critter…

A lot of old timers will crucify me for saying this but slugs do much better at this than pellets. Why? Pellets ice pick their way through things. Some of them expand, kinda, but on a small rodent good luck. If you pay close attention to the guys who do serious pest control at dairies and farms they’re always talking about shooting pellets at like 600-750fps for 9fpe something. Air usage and other factors come into play as well but anytime you hear guys talking about “collateral damage” they’re talking about pellets passing through and smashing stuff.

For bigger stuff there’s reasons for wanting pass throughs and bigger wound channels but in my opinion that’s not a the way to go for anything smaller than like a deer maybe. I sure as sh*t ain’t trying to track a dying coyote through the desert.

Lol I swear I’m not lazy. It’s just SW Utah and the country is just too big to be doing all that haha.

If I had known, they would ship me a V1 instead of the newer V2, I would not have ordered the 250Z. If I had to rate it from 1 -10, I would have to give it a 4. Two Inch groups at 50Yards, not acceptable. Trying to get a response from Barra about upgrading the V1 to the V2 and replacing the barrel.
The V1 is the GOAT… whats going on with your barra that you’re getting bad results.

Yeah, if you just recently got it, id be r/r(return replace) stat. Considering they just got a new shipment of barrels/pre-orders dropped, half a grand is half a grand homie. Get your money's worth.

I'll crank this up and see what happens. It would be nice to not worry as much about pass through that's for damn sure. The way its stop dropping now is so beautiful, but if it gets better, homie. Imma be blaming the way the pants are pleated. 🤣🤣🤣

Bro start wearing Depends haha cuz it does get better! 😂😂😂

The whole reason I’m here is cuz shot a fox with the Umarex Komplete in feb and the sound of the pellet hitting rewired my whole brain hahaha

Hey man i got my 14cc plenum from C88 Machining today for my 22 250z for the low price of $42.00 bucks off of eBay today. No drilling is required as he designed it to screw into the gauge hole so you degas and remove the stock then the gauge. Screw the plenum in then reinstall the stock, then mount the gauge to the bottom of the plenum with the included 8mm dowdy washer and cock and fill with air and check for leaks. It's very similar to install the ones in the regular Avenger series of rifles. Only problem is it's 8 below zero today so I won't be doing any shooting as it's just too cold. Can't catch a break on this fridgid cold. I'll post some pics before the weekends out so you can see it installed!

I thought the arc plenum is larger than that. Does he offer bigger versions?

Reached out and researched. Arc plenums are 30cc, his are 14. He does not offer any larger plenums or one off plenums at this time.

I appreciate that a lot. I like the function of a 40 fps gain from the arc plenum, so if its similar gain, but smaller foot print, that would be a win.

From the pic on his Ebay page it looks like the stock has to be on the action before the plenum can be screwed to the block. It doesn't appear that the plenum would fit through the hole in the stock.

Is that correct?

Yeah, I messaged him. 🤣 I know for sure the arc ones are a little over double the cc, and bumps the fps of the .25 at minimum 38-40 fps.
I bet the Arc was more expensive like some of the others? The one thing I don't like is on the C88 14cc plenum is the gauge points down and is easier to break the glass cover on the gauge since it lowers it a few inches. Care is required using this one for sure.

I think the arc one is almost triple the cost. That's why if the 14 cc bumps the speeds up the same, but its half the amount of extra shots, id be all over it. Im big on being budget friendly. BTW, heres the haji skin on a sl30.
