Today we’re looking at the top benchrest equipment used at the 2026 Pyramyd Cup.
Again, thanks to Pyramyd for not only holding the 2026 event, but also for sharing details of the air rifles, riflescopes and pellets used by the competitors. This information is like “gold dust” for many enthusiastic airgunners.

Top Benchrest Equipment At 2026 Pyramyd Cup – Calibers
While five calibers were used by competitors in the 100 Yard benchrest competition, it’s clear that .30 cal was THE CALIBER!
No less than 86% of the competitors – 156 of them – were using .30 caliber airguns.
Below. Rok Avbar is the owner of RTI Arms. He had flown over from Solvenia in Europe to shoot his Mora air rifle at 100 Yards. Interestingly, Rok chose to use .25 caliber.

Seventeen airgun manufacturers were represented in the 100 Yard benchrest competition.
As can be seen below, FX Airguns were the most popular choice, with 54 competitors – 29% – using the brand. Next most popular were RAW with 26 users, Karma and Skout with 25 each.
Note the Russ Bear brand. This is the product of Russian competitor Nicolai Boldov (below), who builds his own air rifle and makes his own pellets. He’s a great shot, too!

100 Yard benchrest competitors at the 2026 Pyramyd Cup used no less than 28 scope brands.
Most popular was Sightron with 41 users – 22% of the total.
Next most popular was Athlon with 25 users, then Vector Optics with 21 competitors.
Below. The FX/Sightron combination was a very popular one.
Top Benchrest Equipment At 2026 Pyramyd Cup – Pellets
When it comes to pellets, there was clear unanimity of choice. A massive 126 shooters – 68% of the total – chose to use AEA pellets. That’s a pretty decisive endorsement of the brand for 100 Yard shooting in .30 caliber!
