Yes the entire state. Each region has a quota that totals about 300. Each wolf has to be reported and checked in but non-res license is only $50 and there’s 40 million acres of public land there. With a little effort if one wanted a wolf I feel like it could be done fairly cheaply. Western half of course gets most of the tags. I have not see wolf in Montana but on every hunt I’ve done there I see coyotes. It would be a great way to see some country for sure.
