Not many people would pay more money for a carbon fiber anything if their current tube could already do 250b. My Barra 250z is rated for 250b, and I know that I wouldn't.

Hi,
Just mt 2 cents. The tubes are aluminum. For FX to get the weight where they wanted it the wall thickness of the aluminum tube is not enough to rate 250bar. The bottles are a thin aluminum cylinder wrapped in a lot of carbon fiber. The CF is way lighter than aluminum for the same strength (hoop stress) so the CF can be laid much thicker and achieve the necessary strength to be rated for 250 bar.
