Modifications Taipan stock question

Has anyone with the Taipan Vet 2 standard laminate stock modified their stock to have a slimmer/lighter profile. I really like the guns accuray/trigger etc but the stock feels like a 4x4 post in my hands. I dont shoot from a bench much except to zero/test pellets and would like to make it more off hand hunting friendly. If you have done any of this to your stock please post pics/process for doing it.. Ive done a bunch of beech/walnut stocks in past but never messed with a laminate.
