1100Z stoppage in the barrel of Barra 1100Zgen1

I have a Barra 1100Z,gen1 in .177 and one in .22 for 2 years. Apparently I have not tried to clean the barrels or I would have asked this sooner. I have an aluminum rod from a cleaning kit, I put it in the muzzle end but about 5.5" down i hit a barrier and have to wiggle the rod in order to get the rod past it, then the same thing about 1/2" or so past the first one there is a second one. I realize that barrel is inside the shroud and needs to be centered in the shroud but shouldn't the barrel extend all the way to the muzzle? I'm puzzled. Any help is appreciated

No, there is space between the muzzle and the end of the shroud in the US guns. The barrel is centered in the shroud with an air stripper. The first hiccup you feel is going into the air stripper. The second is the when you enter the barrel itself.

The space is intentional, it allows the expansion of air within the shroud, and functions to reduce the report. It works decently on its own, but pairs really well with suppressors that have fewer baffles, like the DonnyFL Tanto.

Thank yo for that explanation.. Before I saw that you had replied, I searched on YouTub how to clean the barrel and suspected that it was the air stripper that I was running into, but Thank you for your detailed explanation. Much appreciated.
