Well that didn’t do squatWell I’m off to the Man Cave to square up my .25 Ranger!!
I tried that about 3 times ,to no avail ! I'm wondering if the carbon shroud would do better. Also I may opt for a Air CapitalAnybody seen this video on how to adjust clearance between barrel and air tube? Mine is pretty much as low as it will go. Didn’t know this was a feature.

I took off the barrel band to make some adjustments then reattatched it and then took some shots at 30 yards and it was off over 8 inches to the right and 4 inches high. I can't believe my laser perfect XM1 Ranger 25 now can't hit the side of a barn from the inside! It got dark and i had to go in, I'll fix it tomorrow. Should of left it alone, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. LolWell that didn’t do squat!

I love it when you hit a bug while target shooting! I couldn't work on mine today as it stormed all day. Hopefully tomorrow the weather will be better. I can't stand it when i can't go out and shoot in the summer!Yeah I took mine out today and it was shooting 4 inch groups. No idea what happened as it was shooting a ragged hole at 50 meters last week. I took the shroud off and tried this trick from the video, couldn’t increase the space between air tube and shroud but when I put it all back together it was back shooting single hole groups. I actually managed to explode a fly on my target.
No idea what happened but will test again over the next few days.
I've had that happen when testing moderators on my .22 Ranger. In my case I had misaligned the shroud. I simply started fresh by loosening the shroud & repositioning it snug against the buffer spacer at the breach end, then wrapped a bit of rubber inner tube around the threaded adapter & snugged it up w/ channelloc pliers. I had to rezoro, but never had any issue since. I think this is another benefit to having a barrel band on these guns. Hope this helps.Okay I need help on this - took the supressor off the XM1 ranger which accidentally unscrewed the shroud nut. Tightened it back down and its now shooting 2 inches left with groups about 3 inches wide at 40 meters.
Any ideas on how to getting shooting well again?

I wrap a slice of rubber ( had on hand) , then use adjustable pliers to GENTLY snug it up while hold the shroud in place. Rezero is definitely needed afterwards .Yeah I've taken the shroud on and off twice and still have the same issue. How tight do you tighten the shroud nut?

Somewhere, something is not lined up(?) Just for giggles I'd reverse the shroud (holes to the front) , snug it down & testSo hand tight, gotchya!
I dont mind re-zeroing but currently getting 3 - 5 inch groups at 40 meters
That did cross my mind. It'll need to wait until thursday or friday when I can get to one of my permissionsSomewhere, something is not lined up(?) Just for giggles I'd reverse the shroud (holes to the front) , snug it down & test
fire, may make something happen?
I did my part yesterday also, as well as the AEA Element R .25 and the mighty Hades. About a 15 yard off hand dome shot. I used my motorcycle for concealment. This was I think last years pup. I took out Momma last year with my M3 Impact .25 and a 33.95 pellet at about 40 yards to the brain as well.Got the mother and one of her offspring today while just out target shooting. The Stoeger XM1 Ranger 25 caliber did it's part and I did mine. One headshot at 20 yards for each animal and it was instant lights out on each one. I'll be busy for a week or two clearing out the rest!
Great work getting rid of these destructive animals! Would like an FX to add to my collection as well. The rain quit here and i got to go outside and tinker with the Ranger. If i take off the shroud nut and check down the barrel it is off center to the shroud. No matter how much i mess with it its still off a little bit before screwing on the shroud nut. I wonder if 3 or 4 rubber harmonic stabilizer rings from Terminador Outdoors on ebay could help keep the barrel centered while putting the shroud back on? I may order a set and try them out to see if these help. I have it shooting well again for now after messing with it for an hour. Happy shooting all!So hand tight, gotchya!
