So riddle me this …if rifled shot gun slugs are designed to be shot more accurately out of a choked barrel, I wonder if this technology would work for choked Airgun barrels?
I wonder if it’s ever been tried before?

shotgun guns are un-rifled barrels smooth smooth smooth bore once riffed its really no longer a shot gun
Yes but I am referring to rifled slugs out of a choked shotgun barrel. The rifled slugs were designed to be more accurate with the choke.
So I am wondering if a rifled slug would be more accurate out of an airgun choked barrel. Just a thought

riffles have riffled barrel shot guns dont regardless of choke or no a slug for a slot gun being riffled may or may not be of benefit but it wont apply to a rifle

My thoughts are....no, it won't help. The thing about chokes and pellets is....they work great together! More often than not, there's inconsistency in the pellets in your tin (head/skirt thickness or both!), and the choke helps fix that to some extent. If the pellets are too loose for your barrel, you're euchered anyway (i.e., 4.50 dia pellets in my TX just spray everywhere)
I don't know of any smoothbore airguns currently being made? Your name caught my attention....I have some 25gr Wildman slugs in (.22) to try out someday! They aren't rifled, but do look very nice😅.

lol I used to be a beekeeper and I kind of kept the nickname. And yes I agree as to why we use chokes in our Airguns . I was just thinking that a rifled slug or even a longer pellet could benefit from the choking effect since that is the benefit of using them in shot gun barrels.
I wouldn’t include a smooth bore air gun barrel in the combination. Just a thought that occurred to me. You never know.
