A couple of weeks ago, I ordered some magazines and single shot trays for a few of my airguns. The .22 Akela got a magazine, the PRod as well. The FX Dreamline got a SST and as well, the Reximex RPA .177 received a MUCH needed SST.

By now I’d suspect that we’ve all heard of Maple Custom Productions. If you have not, I’d highly recommend giving their site a look. It’s very possible that if you have a platform that you’re looking for a magazine or sst for, you might find it there.
There’s not much to report on with these pieces. When I say that, I mean there’s not a lot of flash or over engineering going on. They’re simple and simple to use. They’re quite superb to use actually. The magazines load from the empty position. What I mean is, you don’t need to preload the spring. You simply drop in your first pellet and rotate to the next, to the next, to the next, so on and so forth until your full or you have as many as you want.
As for the SST, it fits perfectly in the well here on the RPA. The top is flush with the top of the well and does not interfere with the dovetail rail if you have an optic, and I’d suspect that the thumb tab on the tray will not hinder performance of any of your chosen optics nor is there any interference with the factory open sights.

In my initial testing, there is no drag, contact or interference with the pellet probe and loading is straightforward with the .177 pellets. An interesting observation is where the o-ring is placed within the tab. It looks as if I could easily load a slug in there and actually have it held in place. The o-ring is in the rearward portion of the tray.
I may load a JSB 10.3 gr slug or two and see how the loader works with them and see if this little shooter likes em or not. I’d guess no, but today, ya just never know. Those little slugs from JSB like a lot of different barrels. We’ll see.

In the end, this ssl from up north in the maple forest has completely changed the enjoyment level of this RPA. No longer am I fiddling to drop a pellet in hoping it stays facing the right direction. A side note; with tax, shipping and what ever tariff costs there are if any, I paid $103 US to my mailbox for 2 magazines and 3 single shot trays. I don’t think that’s too bad considering the quality, ease of use and the increase of enjoying the shooting time.
Well done Maple Products, well done.
