The Reximex Apex PCP air rifle was first shown at the 2026 IWA OutdoorClassics show in Germany. Now it’s coming very soon to US customers. Pyramyd shows availability in early September – that’s just a couple of weeks away…
The Apex is an interesting and unusual bullpup air rifle in a number of ways. It has a sleek, black synthetic “clamshell-style” stock design that’s obviously designed to minimize snagging in hunting environments. At an overall length of just 32 Inches, it’s extremely compact – another benefit for the airgun hunter.
It’s also available in two configurations – with and without internal regulator. The look is identical. Only the price and the weight are different. Regulated guns are about 5 Oz heavier and $60 more expensive.
The magazine differs from many bullpups in that it is of conventional “snail” format, projecting slightly above and to the left of the stock when installed.
The top Picatinny optics rail can be adjusted for height at both front and rear mounting points. This is intended to allow shooters achieve better eye alignment, accommodate large objective scopes, and help compensate for impact drop at longer ranges.
Interestingly, the Apex is equipped with no less than two bubble levels. One is in the top Picatinny rail, the other behind the magazine.
But – again unusually – these bubble levels are orientated longitudinally (along the length of the gun). All other built-in bubble levels I have seen on air rifles are orientated at right angles to help the shooter avoid cant.
More conventional features are the mid-mounted sidelever cocking and the manual safety located withing the trigger guard. There’s also a transfer port adjustment knob for power adjustment.
As is increasingly common in the US market, the Reximex Apex PCP air rifle is to be available in .22 and .25 calibers. Both feature shrouded barrels with built-in silencing capability.
In .22 caliber, the Muzzle Energy spec is for up to 29 Ft/Lbs, in conjunction with a 12-round magazine. In .25 cal, it’s up to 40 Ft/Lbs with a 10-shot mag. Fill pressure is 250 Bar (3,625 PSI).
Left-handed shooters (in particular) will be interested in the reversible sidelever positioning. This makes it easy to locate the cocking lever to the opposite side of the gun if required, for ease of use.
The Apex looks as if it could be a strong contender in the rough-and-tumble “truck gun” category and for hunters searching for a robust, compact hunting tool.
