Rapid Air Works Introduces A RAW Pump Action Kit

Rapid Air Works has introduced a RAW Pump Action Kit. It offers rapid cocking for follow-up shots and is compatible with Chassis models of the RAW HM1000x, Mini Hunter and HM1000 Micro Hunter.

Personally, I would have called this kit a Slide Action conversion rather than a Pump Action. When I first read the name I had visions of multi-pumping as a method of topping-up the HPA bottle! How could that work? But I was wrong…

In fact, the kit converts the regular RAW sidelever cocking action into a SLIDE-cocking system.

The company says that all required tools are included and that the guide rail is equipped with ball bearings. An installation guide is included too.

Existing trigger, safety and magazine operation continues as before.

Below, we see it installed on a RAW HM1000x Mini Hunter.

As can be seen, the pump handle includes M-LOK slots and fixing screws too. I would have thought that the shooter’s hand would have made accessory installation problematic there. But – then again – I have not used the kit myself.

Rapid Air Works confirms that the RAW Pump Action Kit is made in the USA. The price is $189.99, direct from the RAW online store. It’s in stock now.

A pump up PCP? Obviously 'youse people' are from Ann Arbor and imbibing the legal psillocybin.

The real question is how far the linkage juts out from the long axis of the gun. Lanky, long, làme, and in the way? Lean, tight and out of the way? Which one? Leverage should be tight.

I just see more parts, weight, complexity, for a problem that I don't have. Silhouette speed shooters, and tree top squirrel hunters though, are going to love this! I do like products that fit a niche. I just wish that RAW would significantly up the power in this gun.
