I’ve seen some really nice rigs. The guy next to me was shooting a Red Panda with a Sightron S6. The guy next to him was shooting a very nice Blue Edgun West American Air Arms Apex HPS.

I shot my first card at a match this morning. It was a blast with some cringe moments LOL. Hoping to do better tomorrow. Such as the patch holder coming unscrewed from the cleaning rod and lodging near the chamber, 1 minute before the shooting started Ernest Rowe Jumped in and saved the day. Another person saw my velocity issues and offered me a rifle for tomorrow’s shoot. It’s been a great experience so far.

Elaine and I both cleared the KYL rack with the DRS MKII and won an FX t-shirt each. I’m sure we’d have gotten the t-shirt either way. But, the DRS MKII is a sweet shooting rifle.

I thought the heat would be a piece of cake compared to our Florida heat. But, it’s been brutal. Crazy winds on the range, but no cooling winds 20’ from the firing line. Because I’m only shooting one event, the schedule is pretty good. I can’t imagine shooting two or all of the events, it would be incredibly tough. Tyler Patner and his Pyramyd Air crew deserve a huge Attaboy, it is very well run. My wife is a huge asset to me and I probably couldn’t do an event like this without her help and encouragement. As she’s told several people here, “Bill is here to shoot, I’m here to reel him in”.
