I cut myself a new Talon P Carbine stock. I'm really liking the color.

The blank mounted up and ready to start roughing it out.



Both sides roughed out at this point




Both sides have been finish cut.



The inletting cut




First coat of oil starts to bring the colors out.




My signature makers mark.



All dressed up and ready to go squirrel hunting with this little power house.

Very impressive. Looks like a great project! How long did it take you from start to finish?

This stock it took a week to make. The time to get to the point of cutting this stock was 22 months. Design in CAD modeling, CNC programming, cutting prototypes, rinse repeat a few times. There was also making tooling to mold the recoil pad, form the check rest, and programming and cutting the cheek rest flat patterns and the recoil lug mounting block. Plus time to make those components. There are never enough hours in a day.

Thank Chris. I am charging $725 for a stock and have some real nice walnut blanks along with a selection of birch laminate colors.
